Sorry you couldn't get to the Meet Mac but your well being come's first hun, hope Mrs Mac is well and she is being less adventurous about traveling abroad. We have plenty of nice places in the UK to visit and not to far from home if either of you are unwell, hopefully that won't be the case and you both have many more trip's to places to look forward too.

I'm not too well at the moment, I've got the Bl***y Superbug back in my Lungs and doing my best to keep Pneumonia at bay, anyway at least I'm not as bad as a few days ago, my fingers were poised to order up a "Blue Light Ride"

Wifey seems to be fine, she's stopped talking about it so much and Saturday she drove to Scarborough and the Shops for the day with her Sister

She's still talking about Flying off somewhere for a holiday so I suggested she take her Sister and we pay for her, she can get a late cheap 7 day holiday in Portugal or Spain at the moment there are plenty available

Just think, 7 days peace and quiet fro the old geezer !!!!!

I wrote and asked if it was ok to add the above and got this message:


Been for my Warfarin INR Blood Test test this morning, within limits but now on 750 mg Ciprofloxicin twice a day, (the Strongest Antibiotic), so now have to go weekly as it affects my levels

You can put up anything, but I think I might be boring people with my problems, I wish I could put up something "Happy" for a change

I was really looking forward to the Manchester Meet a couple of weeks ago, but it was cancelled until the Spring or Summer next year, I hope I make it until then

I think I will have to try to organise a York or Scarborough Meet, theres a large pub with cheap meals near the Station and it it easy to Park and Ride to it.




Hope we will soon hear better news from Mac - must remember to ask him how the book and stuff it coming along.

Hi Liz,

I took the wife to York Hospital on Thursday for an Upper and a Downer

Edoscopes I mean, the Sigmoidoscopy showed she had Two Polyps and they removed them, the other one which she was not looking forward to, showed her Duodenum was inflamed but not bleeding

Because of the Polyps, she now has to go for a full Colonoscopy to see if there are any more further in.

How am I ??....................................I died yesterday, but I haven't told anyone yet
Been in bed all day today, but got up for some Veggie Stew and will be going back soon

Oh by the way if anyone is interested I have typed 40% of Memoirs of an Old Geezer Volume 2, at my speed I should finish typing it in about two months time

Veggy stew is just the thing Mac to warm you up and keep bugs at bay.

Ohh Mac, my OH had an upper and downer too a few years ago. As we sat in the waiting room he turned to me and said, 'I hope they don't use the same tube!!!! ' I couldn't stop laughing and was mopping my eyes with a tissue. His next comment was 'I hope they don't use a box Brownie either'. lol
