Good to see you back even in poor condition, Ray. Hope you enjoyed the trip otherwise, and the wife did too.

Good to see you back, but shame you got the 'bug'. It sounds as if it was a good setup. Hope you soon feel a bit better and well enough to get on with book 7 !!

,

I'm back, I was fine before getting to Peru and boarding the ship, I thought Geat, I can get some sun on my body, have some nice dood and complete rest......................Wrong, 3 days after boarding the ship, got a coughing bug from the air conditioning which finally affected over 400 passengers (over Half), ship was great, food was great, drinks were equivilent to Btitish Pub prices, Entertainment wasnt bad and in spite of feeling grotty took part in two evening shows on bopard, BUT, I spent a lot of time in my Bunk, missed quiye a few meals and took 63,000 Mg of Antibiotics in 21 days (3,000 a day) without success, although it may have stopped it getting worse.
Have been to my Doctor today and he has given my another supply of Amoxicillin and I have to supply samles for analasis Monday morning and if it is what I think it is I may be in Hospital again by the end of the week

Cant win can I ????

I cant die yet, I have to type out my book number 7 and cut and paste all the ships activities leaflets and the photos I took (370)

You can post if you wish and give all my friend my LOVE

Mac

You just can't keep this man down lol, here's the latest update:

Looks like we wont be going on the San Fransisco stay - Rail across the USA - New York stay - and the Cruise back to Southampton on the Queen Mary 2 after all ........................

Instead ..........
we are going (Subject to it not being fully booked) to Peru joining the "Black Watch" a Fred Olson Cruise Ship at Lima's Port and cruising north stopping at a port in Northern Peru then to Equador, then to Panama City (Balboa) before sailing the Panama Canal and on to Costa Rica, St Kitts, St Maarten, Aruba, Curacao, Antigua. St Lucia, then across the Atlantic to the Azores followed by 4 days cruising to Southampton

TOTAL ...............30 DAYS .....................14 Days at sea without sight of land

Should be able to get plenty of rest. and also writing the book....... tropical and warm weather until about the last 3 days as we get closer to Britain, by that time it wil be getting close to April, so not as cold as when we set off. it should do my lungs a power of good

The Ship is much smaller and its passengers are mostly British and of an average age in their 50's, total Passengers number 798 (Cosy)

Reading the Black Watch Forums, nearly 50% of those going on a cruise book again, some having sailed on her over 20 times, Drinks reasonable, good service, plenty going on for entertainment including Quiz Nights (which I like) a Theatre and a nice Pool

With the smaller number of Passengers carried you can get to know more people, the last ship we went on for our 50th Wedding Anniversary had over 2,000 on board and the British were a very small minority, it was chaotic.

The Ship I was on before that carried 2,500 ...........All men.......All Crew ...........No Passengers .............HMS Centaur ..........an Aircraft Carrier when I was in the Royal Navy

Eat your hearts out my friends ............I cant afford to take some of you unless I win the LOTTO jackpot

I nearly won it a couple of weeks ago.....................................

I only needed 5 more numbers and I would have got the BIG one, I came THAT close

Bye, Bye you lovely People, I'll catch you again before I go

As if you haven't enough 'bugs' Mac without collecting your wife's too. No wonder your lungs are not so good at the moment. I hope they soon clear up. It's good your wife's eyesight has improved......she needs it to keep an eye on you!!

The cruise sounds a great idea, something to look forward to. The whole trip sounds really interesting, I would love the train journey and at the end the nice restful cruise. Wonderful!!

Best wishes,

Another message from Mac:

Liz,

If I dont keep up with the jokes ..............I might cry

I'm in a lot of pain at the moment...........I cant win !!

In my Chest and in my Lungs, seems like I have a blockage or two with a return of a small amount of "Gunge"

Anyway , Haven't mentioned the wife for a while have I

She has nearly fully recovered her sight and apart from having a Nasty cough and sore throat (which I think she has given to me),,,,,,,,,,,,,,AND

She is talking about blowing a chunk of our savings on.........wait for it.......wait for it

A Cunard cruise on the Queen Mary 2, first flying to San Francisco for 3 nights, then two nights on an Amtrac train through the Rockies across America to Chicago, a day in Chicago, an overnight ride to New York , staying for 3 nights and cruising back on board for 7 days.

Its a Special Offer giving a £1,000 off each, the last Journey of a Lifetime, and guess what, I think I will be writing another book

This trip will most certainly be the last I will ever make, and in future I think it may be a Shearings Coach holiday or two in the future

Well, somehow I will have to stay alive long enough, Pass me the Brandy !!

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye, here I go singing low on my way !!

Mac xxxxxx my lips are getting sore with all these kisses
