Very wet and windy here :(

been same here $andie although sun is out now. Been cleaning the church and doing odd jobs around the house . Have got some ironing so am going to look to see if there is anything on tv to watch while I do it. xx

Hi ladies~~

Still wild here too. Not as bad as yesterday tho !

Spent yesterday chasing my large council provided wheelie refuse bin around the patio ! Until I decided where I could put it safely out of the wind, the lower part of the garden is down 4 steps and I couldn't manage that !lol. and wasn't going to put it in the fromt garden ,would have had the same prob !
It is now on it's side wedged between a corner wall and a large terracotta pot (still planted ) . The pot should have been emptied by now as it was my nan's and I'm always cautious it cracking in the frost. It's heavy enough on it's own and took my ages to wedge this blinking bin in with it ..phew !!

Plumber coming tomorrow ( fingers crossed) to take out bath and drilling for rerouteing pipe work, so hopefully he does come ,but tonight will be the last shower for at least a week :(

morning I have two wheelie bins which are a pain and two recycling boxes no lids so everthing flies around the garden

Plumber came, bath taken out, wall now tiled >>>wow we're on the way !!

I have 3 recycling bins ..that have lids..with a brick on top of each them but they are in more sheltered places than that blinking wheelie bin !

Weather is calmer today :)

Afternoon ladies~~

Very frosty start but clear blue skies and sunny, about to put some washing out (just retuned from shopping) hope it will dry in the sun, but there is hardly any wind.

Bath and shower gone ! Plumber was here at 8.30 as he said :)
Another inconvenience now is, hubby has disconnected the waste outlet from the basin from outside into a bowl inside ,so he could tile the wall.
Brings back memories of caravan holidays as a child when we had a waste water bucket outside that had to be emptied >lol

This started as a Good morning post, but we had a delivery of our shower unit and when son checked everything out found out that the plinth for the shower was missing !
Hubby said I'll deal with it when I get home.....but I'm not that sort of person , any further delay will mess it up for the plumber,so been on hubby's lappy found the tel no. for the company ,checked his emails and found he'd paid separately for the plinth and feet... feet delivered but not the plinth. Company accepted their mistake and are sending it out via First class Royal mail today :)) Mission accomplished !

The plumber arrived at 8.50 (late ,so he said !! ) so it's all go at the mo.
He's back fro from the kitchen to the bathroom so I've taken 'refuge ' in my bedroom :)

hope your check up goes ok Maz. Had my retinopathy check and feet check yesterday. Both ok.
$andie, I hate workmen in the house, makes me very stressed lol
We had a meeting this morning in the church hall and have decided to have a coffee and cake morning each Tuesday from 10-12.Hoping that once a month we can incorporate something special like a craft demo or a speaker. This is not to be a "churchy" thing, just a way of reaching out to the local community and perhaps we can get to know folks and help out with any problems they may have.Tuesday afternoons is our womens Christian group so people will we welcome to join us then if they wish. Please pray God will bless this little venture and guide us as to how it should go.

Few hiccups with the bathroom,cos of the piping toilet won't go flush against the wall..No pun intended ! Hubby's less than pleased :( and they have delivered the wrong 'feet' foe the shower unit....Happy days!

Just before I go, I'm checking out this new layout , on za I still have the old one, the uk one has now half changed and the au on seems to have totally changed..so I'm practising .lol

What I don't like so far is that the last reply is now at the top of the page and I am typing down the bottom, so I have to scroll right up to see exactly what Paula has written .

Yes Paula hubby is well and truly vexed...to say the least:(
