Forecast shows sun from 1pm today and tomorrow, well we'll see !

If that link had come out on 1st April I wouldn't have been surprised.. what a joke !

*$parkling $andie* Report 11 Oct 2010 14:13

Hi~~

From a very breezy but sunny S Wales.
The wind blew over one of my potted Clematis, growing up an obelisk, yesterday and the obelisk is totally smashed :(
I don't know whether to try to rescue the Clematis now but cutting up the obelisk and taking it off or staking it down the middle with a bamboo pole, hubby'll decide I suspect:)

Lol Paula , stirring up your facebook pals with that link about Clothes line bans !
It's not wash day in this house ...it's almost every day, no wonder I'm obsessed and get grouchy in the bad weather.
Hubby doesn't like wet clothes on the rads ( neither do I, other than to air them) and grizzles over the leccies cost when tumbler is used! Can't win.
Then not all garments can be tumbled.
Son drives me nuts when he buys expensive t.shirts in bold colours which say in small lettering ( I need a magnifying glass for some of them ! ) Machine washable in Cold water ! I 've hand washed them in tepid water ( can't put hands in cold water) but the colours are so bold and they do loose a bit of colour each wash, you can only wash one at a time !!
Grizzle over :))

Hope it's fine where you are, have the rest of a nice day :)

Oh Paula that's smashing, I can see the smile on you face from here:))
With 2 of our pups we put a wrapped clock in the dogs basket supposed to make them think it's their mothers heartbeat , seemed work. It was only at night i remember them crying as pups cos they were kept well occupied in the day, with2 children to play with them:))

You lucky thing you, hope she brings you yrs of pleasure

that's great Maz. We had Reuben Horsley speaking at our ladies meeting yesterday. He is a baptist minister.xx
Puppy is very quiet through the day but cries a lot at night.Lots of cleaning puddles and poo still as she is only 6 weeks old. We put her in a crate overnight or when I go out in case she chews wires or anything. She doesn't do her business in there so that's one good thing lol.She seems to like sleeping on my feet !

Easter Bunny Report 14 Oct 2010 11:16

have got Ava with me as she has chicken pox (absolutely covered).
We gave Lois a bath and dried her with the hair dryer and now she is sulking.
Then we made chocolate brownies which are cool now so we will try them soon lol
Maz, Reuben was an I.M. minister originally at Silksworth.I think he is at Hebburn church now.
$andie, no chance of putting the washing out today,it's too damp.Radiators to the rescue again.

I didn't refresh the page when I started typing, so missed your post Paula :)

Poor little Ava, my son had it when he was in nursery, but it must have been mild cos it didn't trouble him at all, he passed it onto dau, who also wasn't too bad except of course for those irritating spots.
I've never had it so thought I may have had shingles as a result, but fortunately I didn't. Hope you don't either.
What's Lois being doing that she needed a bath ?lol
I suppose it's best to get them used to it ...and the hair-drier sooner rather than later.
Sandie was petrified whenever I bathed him, my other dogs never liked it , as I used to get Trix out of the bath wrapped in a towel, he used to wriggle like mad and somehow used to managed to backwards from my arms and up my back, I always ended up wetter than him !

Easter Bunny Report 15 Oct 2010 11:36

$andie, Lois was a bit smelly when we got her but apart from that she actually climbs inside Molllys large feeding bowl to pinch her dinner so it was up her legs lol
Ava is asleep now.She hardly slept all night with the itching poor thing.I have just put calamine aqueous cream on her spots and was trying to count them but gave up after 230, she really is covered, ears, neck, face, chest, back, arms and legs ,even the souls of her feet and her privates. No wonder she is unhappy.

Hi~~~

Paula,
Oh bless little Eva, she's really has nasty dose of the Chickenpox. Hope she gets over it soon and the spots don't scar. Will she wear cotton gloves ?
That helps when they scratch to prevent scarring.
Molly I presume is your other dog, I thought you had the pup cos you'd lost your last dog.

Oops !

Am I late or am I very late.lol

Been very busy today, just thought I'd 'show' my face:)

It's been fine here all day, a line of bed linen and another of towels dried.blah blah blah.lol

Sorry I misspelt your g.dau's name Paula :(
Not that I'm saying you were ,but I get cross when peeps who know my dau and son's name spell then wrongly.
Dau's is Welsh and son's can be spelled differently , but most abbreviate it anyway.
My mil used to throw a hissy fit when bil's friends called him Dai, all his friends did in school.
Hubby and I call him Dave, tho I called him Dai in school , don't think hubby ever did :)
