*$parkling $andie* Report 22 Aug 2010 01:26

Very early morning to all~~

Been to bed, but knee and thigh playing up,so have to get up for a walk around and sit rather than lie down.

Dr told me on Monday I have an Entrapped Ulnar nerve in my right wrist or elbow and may need surgery , so referring me to an Orthopaedic Neurologist. My little and fourth fingers and outside of my right hand tingle constantly and the pain wakes me up at night:( but I've read I should sleep with my arm straight, which has helped )
Thursday the optician said i have a small cataract on my right eye, which is not uncommon for peeps over 45 who have a history of it in the family ; my nan had 2 removed many many yrs ago;
So I've been doing a bit of research on the net about both, it's no substitute for discussing it with my GP and Optician, who I will be seeing again next week as I didn't ask many questions when told as I was a bit taken aback cos of my age:) .....I'll be fore armed next week .

I am right handed so I get away without doing the potatoes and beans.lol
Just hope I can see the Neurologist asap and get things sorted, cos it is worse when my hands are cold.

Think I'll try bed again~~~
Bye

Morning all~~

Fine today here so far, I've got bed sheets and towels on the line since 8.30 and another lot in the wash, hope it stays fine.

Had a good nights sleep after 2am, but by 7.30 my hand and elbow were playing up (i'd not kept my arm straight whilst sleeping I suspect ).
All OK when I'm up and about ( except the pins and needle effect in my right hand, ) The Dr asked me if my elbow was sore ,but it wasn't at the time cos apparently that determines if the nerve is trapped at the wrist or elbow !
I'm beginning to sound like an old crock.lol

Have a good day folks,

*$parkling $andie* Report 24 Aug 2010 09:34

Morning folks~~~

Got quite wet yesterday whilst walking, well my coat (waterproof) and my denim skirt did.lol
It's better to wear a skirt in the rain (unless you wear Waterproof trousers) When I had my dog I used to wear waterproof trousers but had to be wiped down in the kitchen along with the dog cos we were dripping when it rained in the winter.lol
legs dry off quicker than trousers !
I like walking in the rain but not when it is lashing down !!
Forecast here is for showers and sunny intervals, the sun when it comes thro the clouds but there is a heck of a lot of dark grey clouds around. :(

Oh Paula.
I'm so sorry about Kiera. You mustn't feel guilty you did the right thing.
To let them suffer is not !!
Tears come along with it and are natural, you wouldn't have loved her if you didn't grieve .
When I had to have Sandy put to sleep, I had to wait for dau to come home from Uni ( she would have been devastated if she'd not seen him for the last time, Son ,dau and I were all in tears and broken hearted. Dau cuddled him in his blanket for the very first time :) She was and is cautious of dogs,
He's buried at the bottom of my garden and I say hello to him every morning :)

*$parkling $andie* Report 30 Aug 2010 14:13

Hi all~~

It is a glorious sunny day here today, yesterday was supposed to be so one wash done over night, and one done early morning, then it rained. We were back and fro with the first on and off the line, the in the afternoon it was warm and dry but very windy , so they all got dried:))
Another lineful out today !

We've been off line since Friday , ISP's fault ,I'm going to claim a refund!

I've had devastating news..........
One my dau best friend's father Dennis died on Friday, he was only 57.
He was taken ill on hols in the US, when they discovered cancer of the liver spleen and lung. He was brought home by air ambulance and was dead with 3 weeks of diagnosis. He was a fit person.. was a PE teacher.
Altho we weren't friends in the way we socialised together , when they moved about 6 miles away they wanted to keep their girls in the same Junior school so they used to come to me every morning and evening so we've always kept in touch as parents , but Dennis's both dau's are still best friends with mine and they socialise regularly.
So very very sad, Dennis and his wife Chris had just retired as their school had closed, the girls are just 24 and 22 and had their life of retirement together ahead of them.
God bless them all.
