Ann,

Thanks for spotting me!

It was Marley - she wasn't a Wren, she was WRAF. She is/was on the Wirral but isn't replying to mails these days.

There was also I think Beryl, up in the northeast somewhere who moved house and we didn't hear from her again. She very kindly sent me a spare copy of a book when she was clearing up for her move, which related to some of my research. I will always fondly remember her.

Lots of names here i do remember, and lots that i miss,

this can at times be a wonderful place to spend time,

I am a relatively newbie compared to a lot of you folk, but i still feel a part of the older set,

I think lots took me to heart a bit, with my morning thoughts, ( which i will start again in a couple of weeks time, ) but the one thing i will always remember everyone on these boards for, Old and new, was when my daughter went into hospital to have her baby,
What wonderful support we got, over a very long weekend,
over 500 replies on the thread, I was so thrilled, and thankful for all the lovely wishes

Like i said, old and new on that one

I think I joined in May 2003 but I can never remember for sure because I came on for a while just doing research until a cousin that I found on here mentioned these boards.

I was addicted at one time and couldn't keep away from the general board but these days I just pop in now and then.

I have never understood why there are problems on here occasionally because I have been to about 8 or 9 meets and I can honestly say that everyone has been lovely in their own way.

I miss Dawnie (Devonshire Dumpling) and the 'Boing Boing' threads when Lynda used to put up a trampoline for us now and then. There are lots of other people I miss too like Pat in circles etc.

Thanks for remembering me Midlands Margaret and the nice comment you made. I did enjoy writing the wee stories but do not get a lot of spare time now owing to family commitmrnts. I only ever saw one other "Bridget" on the board and only for a short time. I was Bridget x

Moony I would have thought, posting at that time of night. Lovely to hear from you. Very best wishes.
My thanks to all for the great replies.

The oldies were not "special "
as implied earlier, but were so to themselves, being together at a particular moment in time.
God bless you all, young and old(er). Happy days

Hi Everyone,
I joined... err, whenever I joined, see membership no. I think 2004.

I've seen people come and go and everyone I have met and chatted to have been lovely.

Hi Harry, nice to see you posting, and hope all is well with you.
I have been around since Feb. 2005 and have met a few people and spoken to many, many more by phone, at all hours of the day and night, due to my night owl habits lol
I have always been Purple somethingorother.
Hope you will post more often.

Thanks Steve. If memory serves, think she used to do a slightly similar job (quotes and the like) to the daily thoughts which Lynn has been producing.
Not bothered too much about the week-end Steve - going to Eastbourne Monday to Friday to join half a million other oldies.

Best wishes Happy days
