Rosemary, as one who clocked up 32 replies...all written by me on my own thread...I know what you mean, LOL

but, please don't feel ignored, it's just how the boards work. Sometimes they move quickly, sometimes they remain very quiet. I actually don't care anymore if I am boring... I entertain myself. :o))

Like you Carol I add to posts that interest me or touch me. I may not always be acknowledged but I post because I care and want to. I do not feel there are ' no go areas '. The majority of people on these boards are lovely genuine people and welcoming.
Hope I've never made you feel that I was ignoring you at anytime lass. I don't read or add every day and miss quite a lot of posts I would add to otherwise. Looking forward to seeing you real soon lovely.

If something interests me, touches me or I feel I have something to contribute then I will reply. There are some threads that I stay away from as a personal choice because of the emotions they invoke in me that I do not feel equipped to deal with or if I do not feel that I have any place posting. For example, I may not know the person even though they're a long standing/old member, who is going through a tough time, never met them before or responded to a post of theirs before, I feel any sympathy I share may be hollow because I do not know them or their pain.

I feel that there used to be no go areas with some of the older members on here

I will mention no names

I do however feel that at times these boards feel a lot happier place than they used to be

Hi Caz :-)

I don't know about lately but there was a time when certain people would post on threads of people that they normally didn't get along with. The comments that they made at first appeared trivial to most but if you knew the history, you knew that they were deliberately winding the original poster up. It used to annoy me when they denied all knowledge.
It used to work both ways too but sometimes I thought people were being very cruel or thoughtless :-)

Then there were those like yourself that would post on most threads regardless of who posted.

As for me, I'm usually ignoring someone. I think I'll go back and reply to that thread and then forget all about it :-)

Seriously if I'm honest, there are certain cliques I tend to avoid. (I don't mean cliques in a bad way because I don't think they are that exclusive in who they talk to) I won't deliberately ignore them but I won't actively join them either. I suppose I'm just wary of them going by past history.

However, if there is a general thread and they also post on it, it won't stop me posting because it isn't their exclusive thread.

Sometimes I'll even post on a thread they've started when the subject is so controversial or interesting that I feel I have to say something. However, I always go with my conscience and will defend their point of view if I think it is right or oppose it if I think it is wrong.

I'm sorry but that's how it is with me now. I'm more wary now than I used to be.

i post on what ever i fancy at the time, dont think too much about whether i am welcome or not. Tina - Marie.....how could anyone ignore you

as for posting or not on threads of peeps i dont usually get on with, to be honest apart from Karrie, Tina WWW and a couple of others i dont actually know anyone, so therefore have no idea whether i would get on with them or not

Hi Grannie Julie,

I don't think you can accuse any of my conversations as being over your head.lol I did post a what's your favourite sandwich thread on chat (one of my more intellectual threads lol)

I also think Hayley called me a blonde bimbo before??? ;-) but I'm not quite sure. I'm even more puzzled since I'm not blonde lol

I did try and start a thread regarding today's society becoming more and more like George Orwell's '1984' the other day. However people recognised it was me starting the thread and just stopped by for a chat and say hello lol

What I'm trying to say is, just barge into any of my conversations even if it looks as though we know what we're talking about. Chances are that we're just talking a load of rubbish anyway and just confusing each other :-)

Hi Caz I just stick my nose in if I have something to say. If I don't agree with a thread I stay off it. Some times I have posted on a thread to later find there is past history and remarks are not what they first appear, then I feel awful that I could have added to someones hurt !!
xxx to you Caz

Caz, I agree 100%.

I wish we could all get along but there are certain forces on here that seem intent on not letting that happen. I get tired of all the stirring that still seems to exist on here.

I wish more people could be like you :-)

Hi Caz

I usually post if I am interested or like you said when people are in need of support! As I am not here every day I often miss what is happening an who is not friends with who but heh not important really!

I often post something which I think is hilarious (usually after a couple of vinos) and it seems nobody else is laffing but I still do lol (I added to the Vulcan thread which was about a plane an I thought was about Dr spock)

Is best to just post when you want and Is better to sit on your hands if there is an argument which I try but don't always succeed!

I try to look at all the threads, add if I have something to say and always try to post a message of sympathy or support. I have added on Chat now and then and rarely get a response even tho lots of people I used to 'talk' to are there now instead of here.
As I am mostly around at night, I try to catch up with the daytime threads so I know how folk are doing, and there are only a few people whose threads I avoid.
My attitude is really the same as Ann from Glos.

I admitt I don't look at all support and mainly only post if I know/cyber know the person whom support is asked for. I openly admit I am very selfish...

I normally add to the fun threads but if I get the feeling I am not wanted I will never hang around to ask why.

I add to threads that interest me ......

Kaz that explains a lot ...lol

Hi Caz, I'm like you and like to send messages of support where needed because they touch me. I have been on the recieving end of support messages and know how much they mean to the person they are meant for whether I know them or not. My memory is not so good for names so I sometimes say thank you all, it doesn't mean I am ignoring them.
I also add to threads that interest me, regardless of who wrote them, sometimes kill them, sometimes not.
