Hi Joan..Maggie will probably have told you that I have loads of Derbyshire Parish Records....Hayfield..High Peak and Chapel-en-le Frith is not my strongest area, but if you give me some names and dates i will no doubt be able to find you something. |

Hi Derek, most of my tree is in notts but we have a Thomas Swift born c1787 who moved to nottingham by 1811 and raised a family there with Sarah nix married 2/6/1811. we know from the 1841 census that he was not born in nottinghamshire. We have very recently found likely parents for him in Samuel Swift and Jane wilks who were married in st modwens church burton upon trent 20/2/1786. The name wilks is significant as Thomas childern were known as 'wilks swift' |
