Thank you for going to Mavis - and sorry I - I should have mentioned to her about adding to her thread - it's just that last night she was crashing about coming from Surname Search and she is doing the research for her 93 year old neighbor

Thanks and sorry

Hi all

It has been soooooooooooo hot here that we have all spent the day down in the cool of the basement!

I came up a few minutes ago to have a look at "my" sites on the 'puter.

At soon after 8:30 pm, it is still 29C outside and 32C in this room where I have the computer!

Maximum outside this afternoon was 32.8C

No coffee or tea tomorrow morning!

Cold drinks instead!

Dea Report 15 Aug 2010 12:06

Turn off the power.

Read the instructions.

Connect the wires that are dangling from the ceiling to the ones in the 'chocolate block' on the new light.

Screw to ceiling, making sure you 'screw into a joist'

......................

........................ !!!!!!

On second thought Ginns, - get an Electrician to do it ..PLEASE........

I get to the point where Fans says:
"And I thought Mary was shacked up with the Frederick Rayfield bloke on 1911?"

and lose all concentration.

PS Welcome home,Julie!!!!!

Exactly what I meant. Concentration is lost!

I want to read the book when it comes out. (or after Ginny and her joists are down from the ceiling..)

Wellies won't help if you get the colours wrong or don't fit a transformer where one is needed.

*I have a 'hunky Electrician' living near me if you can't find one locally.

I am sure you can though Gins !! (tongue in cheek) !!

Dea Xxx

Wink wink - nudge nudge 'say no more !!'

I am sure that Ginny can find a 'Spark' !!!!

Just remembered something relevant and ??? 'funny' ??

Father in law almost killed my husband at a very early age - he did some 'electrics' and then told my 'husband to be' to switch things on.

Unfortunately, FIL was colour blind so got things wrong. !!

HTB switched it on and flew across the room !! - Fortunately no real damage done (or I don't think so' ??)

DON'T DO IT GINNS !!

Gins brother does Lecy stuff, but she dont seem to rate him much the things she had to say about his last attempt on something for her..

Prob best to do it herself.

That Digest book has been out for donkeys years and updated regularly...
