Morning all

Great day yesterday, talk about chatty, we had a hard job stopping her from talking. At 98 is she good for her age. Still does some of her own gardening, lives on her own, walks every where.

I now have some 4 hours of chat to listen too and extract stories.

Photos of SHE's father as a small boy, pictures of grandmother and father, both sides of her family.

Info that great grandfather was very active in the village where they lived, both in the local school and church and ran the village main, and about only shop.

So loads to go on there and find out about

Another brother lost in ww1 during a naval battle

So, question to you all… she told us of one of her fathers brother’s who shot off to Aus. I think I have found the shipping etc. So how do I go about trying to track family in underworld of Australia?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 12 Aug 2010 11:36

Ask whatever question you would like answered Pete, but put Australia in the title......that's for starters anyway. I'm sure one of our little dingbats on here will give better advice.

Hiya

Oh the old Ajax thing yeah I've been called that before, just goes over my head now.

I felt like pulling teeth yesterday with a couple...there was one who was'nt a newbie firstly said this person was born in Rye turns out it was her maiden name, married to one particular person and while I'm searching high and low for it she says she might have married the other chap on the page aghhhh

so crossed her of my list of people to help.
