been out most of the day ... had to phone for an "urgent" physio session with a locum. Back was hurting too much.


Not sure whether the treatment was better or worse ...... he used his elbow to press down on every single palce where he could make me go "ouch"!


sorry about the coffee/tea/latte etc .................. will try to do better for Wednesday morning.

Daughter and babe return Wednesday, plus Swiss friends visiting ....... looooooooooooooooooong day ahead!

and I did find out a bit more from the locum physio (who I actually saw a couple of times last summer as well) re my niece's problem

He did say that problems with that joint during pregnancy are pretty common, and not uncommon afterwards, although he himself had not seen anyone in such bad straits.

He said the physio who got her walking was good, but she will need to do strengthening exercises for months, plus may have to wear a special belt type of thing to provide support for some time.

The way he described was that the joint was a sort of L shape, and it is pretty easy for the one side not to fit evenly into the angle of the L as the ligaments tighten up.
