hi all, i have a frederick lark in the 1891(living with wife and sister and brother inlaw) census, i cant find him in the 1881/1871 census, he was born c1864 great yarmouth, norfolk, i have ordered a birth cert which i am sure is his, it gives father as george and mother elizabeth formally read, i still cant find him!! please can some one have a fresh look for me, regards suzi.
i cant seem to find the parents marriage either.

This one has another person in the household a Robert Sherwood 71 born Gt Yarmouth unfit to work and he is down as father.

This is really strange because this Eliabeth has a sister Caroline who is about the right age to be the Caroline Minns on the 1891 census.

On the 1901 census I put up Elizabeth is married and not a widow so Frederick must be somewhere. I wonder if the mother Caroline Sherwood had remarried and the children were down as Sherwood instead of Smith??????????

I have now looked up the 1871 census for Robert Sherwood and this is it.

mel, frderick was a fisherman so that may explain his absent in the 1901 census.

Aha!!!! the 1881 census reveals ALL.

Yes your right Robert Sherwood. Then Caroline Smith unmarried with daughters Amelia and Elizabeth, Caroline must have already married John Minns.

The mother Caroline is a Silk Winder same as other census and I think the address is the same.
