Hi,
I am trying to trace Steven Joseph Nimmo, born in Ayr, Scotland in 1962 and moved with his mother and father to Canada. steven has a godmother her May Smith who lives in Scotland. Any help with how to trace or track down someone in Canada would be useful. I have left a message on Ancestry.Ca but so far have had no reply.

HI lorraine,
I don't know if Ralph had any siblings, so no help there.........I think for the moment ( as I keep hitting brick walls) I'm going to have a little rest from him. Lorraine I can't thank you enough for all the help you have given me and your patience. I daresay you will be hearing from me again regarding another family member!!!!!!!
Many, many thanks

Hi Lorraine, Yes, Thomas Charles Jones had a wife, Sarah Ann Jones but I don't think she travelled with him because there were 2 young children at that time , Elsie and Gladys and there was no talk in the family of them travelling overseas. How I wished I had asked more questions when my parents were still alive!!!

Thanks for the criminals!
I knew they weren't the best-but that looks awful-thats both sides of the family then!
If you have chance could you look closer at William Sargent 16 May 1854 John Sargent 1878 and Willaim Sargent 1885 p[lease and Patrick Gleeson-1861 Mary ann Ingram and Thomas Ingram 1853?
Only if you get chance-you've already confirm suspicions-thanks for the army info-I couldn't find much when I looked beore-I think the Hooper records must have been destroyed largely.
Thanks for all you do.

Hi Lorraine, Thanks for the offer, I hope you can help me 'cos i don't know where else to look. I am looking for anything at all on Alexander Moore b. 1880 Lanarkshire, Glasgow, parents are Henry and Margaret nee Stewart, the last time I have him is the 1891 census with his parents aged 11. There is defintley no marraige or death for him in Scotland. One of his sisters went to England, I have her on the 1911 census with her family. Another sister emigrated to Quebec, Canada, I have her on the 1911 Canadian census with her family. I am wondering if he went with either sister, I really do hope you can help me with this one.
regards jean

hello there, very nice of you to offer to do look ups. I wonder if you would be able to find me anything on my ancestor.
He's a Patrick Joseph Grant born in Belfast June 1878 and I just think he might have moved to the united states.
I don't know if he was married or about any children I'm afraid. He's the brother of my ggrandmother Julia Grant b Belfast 1879 and his parents were Owen Grant and Ann Carroll married Dublin 1876.
If you could find anything for him I'd be very grateful. Margaret
