Have just finished "Restoration" by Rose Tremain. It's the story of Robert Merivel, a physician, and how he is favoured by King Charles II, falls from grace and at the end is restored to favour in the King's eyes. |

Just finished Secrets of the Tides, by Hannah Richell. It's about a family whose youngest child tragically drowns, and the secrets that come out in the aftermath. It was very well written - a debut novel. It can be a bit depressing at times, but comes to a positive conclusion. |

I'm being a bit of a flippertigibett with my reading matter! I love James Lee Burke and downloaded Creole Belle but as there is always an amount of violence in his books, I can only read it by day as if I read it late at night, I feel disturbed :-) So, for night time reading, I downloaded, on advice of Amazon readers..pffftttt....'Dance While You Can' by Susan Lewis. Has anyone else read this? It irritated me so much I haven't gone past page 6 :-D |
