gill, do NOT listen to that little voice. Stay on here and don't go near the contentious threads. You are going to have a positive day today.
Everyone, washed my own hair under the shower today - been having strip washes and very shallow baths and not showers as I didn't think the wound was ready for hot water. But today I decided to go fr it and psychologically feel much better for it.
bless him, I can hear the hoover going so OH is doing h*work before we go to meet friends for coffee.
Malc, orry to hear about your cold, hope it is better now.
Carole, you enjoy your shop around. Do you give the loos marks out of ten? you could write a book.

Hi everyone, have been printing MIL tree all day and photos, have repaired lots of old photos as well. Repairing damaged photos is a hobby, well one of them. Have some photos over 100 years old of rellies. Unfortunatly due to age they are starting to decay, thank goodness for computers.
I know family trees are never finished, but have stressed myself out over it not being finished. I have not had time to get all the children in, so have just got the direct lines on for the time being. I hope she will be pleased.
I miss being on here, and have not caught up on all the posts or PMs yet. Getting there a page at a time.
Carole, I often click my ruby slippers, and they are slippers, go with the dressing gown and pyjamers. And there is no place like home.
Bye for now and be kind to yourselves

Sorry Ann
I have tried I really have, there are just too many nasties on here that want me kicked down, they are now getting at me through my dearest friends that are on here.
You have always been a caring person with a lot of support for me and I deeply treasure all you have done for me.
I can't cope anymore with anything in life - they have won let them party, I learned today one of my dearest friends has left my sister's site that has crushed me deeply.
I am always to blame on here i don't have to do anything there are too many than can get me the blame.
Well that's it they win I hope they enjoy it and I hope everyone gets well and has a brill life.
Goodbye friends - this site is only for my distant cousins to contact me as we find each other.
Take care
Gill - used to be skwirrel.

Gill, don't go - there are far more nice people on this site than nasty ones, don't let them win - we are all on your side, really we are and lots will come on and confirm that.

Hi, i've just finished reading - intresting thread. i once had a major depressive episode, now I'm studying for a post grad diploma in CBT, almost finished. I've been a mental health nurse for almost 30 years and discovered CBT is one of the few ways of helping people that is based on solid research; always interested in people who think I might be able to help as I need to complete so many hours of clinical practice.

Little Ann off Chat hs given her permission for me to cut and paste this poem on here as it is very appropriate to our thread. Thanks Little Ann XX
To a friend who is feeling a bit low, and confused........and to anyone in need feeling alone xxx ((((hugs))))
in this proud land we grew up strong we were wanted all along I was taught to fight, taught to win I never thought I could fail
no fight left or so it seems I am a man whose dreams have all deserted I've changed my face, I've changed my name but no one wants you when you lose
don't give up 'cos you have friends don't give up you're not beaten yet don't give up I know you can make it good
though I saw it all around never thought that I could be affected thought that we'd be last to go it is so strange the way things turn
drove the night toward my home the place where I was born, on the lakeside as daylight broke, I saw the earth the trees had burned down to the ground
don't give up you still have us don't give up we don't need much of anything don't give up 'cause somewhere there's a place where we belong
rest your head you worry too much it's going to be alright when times get rough you can fall back on us don't give up please don't give up
'got to walk out of here I can't take anymore going to stand on that bridge keep my eyes down below whatever may come and whatever may go that river's flowing that river's flowing
moved on to another town tried hard to settle down for every job, so many men so many men no-one needs
don't give up 'cause you have friends don't give up you're not the only one don't give up no reason to be ashamed don't give up you still have us don't give up now we're proud of who you are don't give up you know it's never been easy don't give up 'cause I believe there's a place there's a place where we belong

Gill, please don't leave us you know you are among like minded people/friends on this thread. Nobody will put you down on here, we wont let them.
I don't know who has left Jean's site or why but maybe they have a reason other than what you think.
In case you wonder why I don't go on the site it is basically because I really don't have the time, but it appears to be doing OK. I am not sure what that was all about on chat the other night but it seemed like the usual Saturday rabble rousers having a go. Not worth worrying about. and worth remembering, for everyone that leaves a web site two more probably join.
do have a break, then come back to us or we shall worry about you.

Afternoon one and all.
Hi Irene,.......... I believe John is doing research into Cognitive-behavioral therapy which deals with anxiety and related problems, (CBT)... right John.
Gail hi... love the sound of your ruby slippers, mine are a tatty old brown pair! just wish I was more like you though with photographs, be they old or new. Was always being told off for not keeping them in albums, but last year it was brought home to me how special photos are and what stories they tell. Because my health started to play russian roulette with me I realised that I was the last of the 'older generation' alive who could put names, places and history to these photos. I have since scanned and copied most of them to my son in Oz, he has a massive chart in one of his spare rooms, is building ours and his wife's tree onto it.. am not sure about the technical side of his next move but he mentioned using Autocad to finalise what info he had to date????...... so everybody it is not too late to get off one's butt and do something positive, I did but am I knackered..lol...............
Oh Gill.....do not leave us lass, we need you as much as you need us...I was in the position that I had to hold down a job which was in a male dominated enviroment...feminist remarks against me were my daily 'challenges' and I thrived on them...I at least was promoted several times whilst the 'mere males' were left standing (sorry to all our good guys here).
Just remember, no one person has the right to judge another, regardless of circumstances!!!!!!.. so keep your chin up and ignore the 'ignorant'.............xxxxxx
Ann GG......your written words echo my early life but I had no one to fall back on. divorced and with three children to bring up, truly brought out the fight for survival in me and I am a stronger person for it.xxx
Ann Glos......hi lass.. do you get as confused as me when it comes down to names, have lost count of how many Joyce's are on this thread xxxx
maxiMary.... the last thing we want on this thread is confusion with name changes (only kidding).... sorry you are feeling low but hope you have something nice planned for Easter? xxxx
Hi Irene and all my soulmates who have yet to post, hope you are all 'on the ball' today and enjoying whatever!!.
I am having to hype myself up for a mission tomorrow.... the local council are setting up a 6 weeks tutorial for computer beginners in our local hall and 12 persons are required to action same..
There were only 11 takers and my neighbour asked me to make up the numbers.... so tomorrow I have to pretend to be computer illiterate and play the fool.....which won't come hard to me because as most of you know tis my theme tune on this board...as Yrk Caz knows only too well, hi Caz xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Time to love and leave you, put some washing on and have a well earned cuppa...
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jules, I suppose if you don't feel the need to post on the thread then that is good news, it means you don't need our support at the moment.
However, I hope that all will be well with your group meeting, and I am sure it will be. try not to build it up too much in your head.
My OH used to say, 'they can't get you the sack at work and they can't get you pregnant so what is there to worry about?'
you will probably find they are all very nice people.
By the way, parts of Glos flooded again at the weekend and Cyprus gardens had to be pumped out to prevent flooding.

Hi all,
I seem to have fallen into my black hole again, how do you all climb out of yours? I seem to just flit from one bad thing to another. I wish I could believe that there was something good ahead. The only thing that keeps me here is the thought of upsetting my grandchildren.
I just want to crawl into a corner & fade away. I can't seem to handle even the simplest things anymore.
Sorry for going on so much, I just want to go to sleep.

so sorry you are feeling down Angela - it's awful when you get days like that, but just think, a week Saturday we alter the clocks for Summertime and then the light nights will lift everyone's spirits. Are you on any medication, you do sound so depressed? Come back and talk please

Thanks Ann,
Yes, I'm another one on citalopram. I know that I should be looking forward to the lighter nights but I will still be alone with my dogs & cats. I even found myself shouting at one of my dogs today. That is such a bad thing to do. I don't deserve them anymore. I can't stop crying tonight.
