Hi Ann
I dont think there even could have been two of them anyway not that close to each other. Not with matching addresses and ages. Not known. But I still ruminated over it.

Ben I had a William Germany father of my gg grandfather to find, I knew it was William from Johns marriage cert. I found one married to Maria but they didn't marry until after John was born and I didn't think that would be right. So I searched and found a William in the right area but never with John living with him. The search went on. I sent for parish records for three or four areas and found William married to Ann, she died after giving birth to a boy called George who also died, and Anns maiden name was Parker. I realised John had a son called William and he had a son George Parker Germany. But still I doubted it as I can't get certs because it was pre 1837! All the clues are there but still I wanted someone else to say yes you are right. You are the sort of person I hope I come across with a connection to my family all thourghly researched.
The other thing you lightly mentioned about hurting people. Been there too. OMG I'm hypercondriac!! Everything everyone has or has had so have I !! I hated everyone! Didn't care about no one. I looked for wrong all the time but I was perfect!! Not. Now I look for something nice to say about people. Start it yourself and it comes natural after a while. The sad angry person goes away and a more relaxed one replaces it. I think really I didn't like myself, so looked for bad in others.
Fi don't drink with the tablets. It will really make you ill! Even though you are only taking 10mg once a day your doctor will cut it to every other day or half a tablet a day then everyother day. You sound like you still need them, maybe a higher dose for a while. The fact that you are crying a lot shows you are depressed and emotional thats why you cried during the speech! Let your work mates know you are not too well, don't hide it or be ashamed by it. That makes it harder. If they know they can understand why you are how you are. Not all believe it's an illness they think we have a choice and can pull our socks up but they are naieve and stupid. You are entitled to a little understanding and Ihope they will support you given the chance. xxx
Joyce P lovely to see you. Toy boy? Bet he is one of those tanned ones that looks good in a thong!! Lucky you xx

I have had this OCD for years now and at 25 it has taken over a lot of my life.
I think the reason for my doubting was Roberts is a pretty common name, but it is quite rare in Kent actually in the 1800s.

Hi everyone Elaine hope you have had a decent nights sleep, you must be so tired after so much stress, it might kick in more now especially after how hard you have been trying to cope. Take care Ben, glad you are coming back on here, the more you talk the easier it gets. I seem to be able to retain 2/3 names at a time so please don't think I ignore others, Carole give yourself a day off and rest, you deserve it. Loved the poem I am away tomorrow to IOW to take some flowers in memory of my dad. It's a long journey, it will take believe it or not, about 9/10 hours for me and mum to get there and she is not feeling too good so I am a bit nervous, hence the nerve rash!! Will be back Friday so speak to you all Saturday Please take care of yourselves Lots of love Janetx

G'Day all you lovelies.
I am still very tired and no energy. MIL still in hospital, having some problems as is on blood thinners. They are making her rest so she can make it to her party, which docs have promised she will make. Finalised everything today.
Havn't had a chance to catch up just yet on all the posts, and will get to PMs soon.
I am also busy working on MILs tree as is for her birthday as well.
Yorkshire Caz, Please take it easy, I look forward to seeing you on here, loves you like crazy lass.
Short story of MIL
She lived in Leeds married and moved to Malton for a few years. Came to OZ in the mid 50's as a ten pound pom, (no offence intended). Stayed in imigration camp in Sydney for a few months and then moved to the country, nearest town was 30 miles, no car, FIL used to ride a pushbike to work. House was in the middle of nowhere, no electricity, toiled out the back, no flush (let you use your imignation). Had never seen a snake, or poisionus spiders, and the flies, and mosquitoes, she had never seen so many in her life, they would swarm. She was used to the luxury of England in the 1950's, did not expect to be living in 1850's in Australia. But that is what she came to. She adapted, had two more children, and grew to love this country, with its droughts and apalling heat, and bitter cold frosts. She missed England and family so much, went back to England to live, she cried for the first month, as she missed home, which OZ had come to mean to her. It took 2 years to save and move back to a country she had come to love.
She has my respect and friendship. I grew up here and was used to the hardship (though never thought of it that way) was used to our ways. What a journey she and all her country men that came in thoes time must have had. They have helped build a beautiful country.
Love and hugs to you all

your MiL's generation Gail were tough. They came through the second WW, we who were their children admire them. those that chose to make a new life for themselves certainly worked hard for it. I do hope that she manages to make her party ok. But don't wear yourself out doing everything, that wont help her at all.

Welcome to our new posters.
Ben noticed you have ocd, so do I, but I don't suffer from it, I have turned it to an advantage. I like things neat and tidy, and clean, but no longer go overboard, and can let a little dust settle now. I also count, but can also stop it when it gets out of hand.
I am very tired, and just popped in, so will be back in touch BEN. You are not alone. See you all tomorrow.
