Well done Elaine twice!!!
Once cos you stopped yourself googleing illness, anything you read you will have, so don't look!!! lol. And because I see you coming through, because you are helping Gill. That is what is so rewarding on here.
Carolina did the same she had a big problem taking anti depressants, but after a while was telling someone else they needed to do what she had been so against doing.

Gill if you read this we all look forward to the time when you are able to help someone with worries like yours. It will come :o)

Deanna, if he was my hubby I would march in but we only live together, so I have no rights lol Wouldn't like to be turfed out in front of others in the waiting room lol I will keep working on him and see if he changes his mind!

Gill, stick around love, keep reading and post when you feel you can or want to, I am sure you are not the reason people leave, but sometimes things happen that make you get the wrong view of something, maybe tomorrow or even today lol will seem better. (It is never today till I have slept lol)
Take care everyone, hope you are all battened down for the bad weather forecast, and for those miles away with snow or different weather situations, I wish you strength and resilience to cope. Mary, I hope you can keep on top of the snow clearing and you get some sun to melt some of it. Mind that knee.
I too find it difficult to remember everyone's messages so can't reply to all, but my thoughts are with you all even if my ramblings don't cover your posts.
love - Happy Monday

hi to everyone, have not caught up on all your posts yet, but will soon.

Have been busy cooking, have been a bit down and cooking always cheers me up. It is something I love doing, not good for the waistline though. Thank goodness for appliances, mixers, kitchen wiz and many others or I would be lost.

Usually when I feel down I do something I really enjoy. Sometimes it is gardening, cooking or just sitting outside and bird watching, talking to all of you on this thread or a quite cuppa, with my chickens.
Today it was cooking.

I used to knit and crochet and restore old furniture as a hobby, as cannot do that anymore have had to find other things to keep me going.

Thinking of you all, will get back on tomorrow, have to go and sort the washing up, in the dishwasher.

Morning everyone, a bit breezy here but bright and sunny, although it looks as though it will cloud over in a minute.

Betty, please come on and chat, I hope you feel better today.

gill, are you looking in? I hope so. Come back on soon.

I am starting to get a bit stressed now over having the stitches out tomorrow. The wound is still weeping so my mind flips through all the 'what ifs' (what if there is something wrong, what if I have to go back in,) etc. And I just know it is going to hurt as it is already sore and it is a long stitch to get out.

Anybody want to change places and go for me????

Bet i don't sleep well tonight

Thought and prayers for my MIL please. She was put in hospital yesterday with what they thought was angina and was a heart attack. She is being moved to a larger hospital right now.

We have been organising her 80 birthday for the end of the month, and she has been so excited as has never had a birthday party before, even when a child because of depression and WW2.

If I am away a few days it is because we are with MIL. I will let you all know when I hear anything.

Thinking of all of you, will also keep you in my thoughts.

hello everyone

I am still upset but yes I have been looking in, thank you for the support you have shown.

Gail my thoughts are with you and your family at this time, hope MIL gets better soon.

Ann - many years ago I had peritonitis due to appendix rotted away, I was cut across ways similar to a caesarean cut, anyhow I ended up with only 1 big stitch and that wept a few days before it was due to be removed. It didn't take very long to remove the stitch nor did it hurt, after a couple of days I had forgotten all about the soreness it seemed to clear up quickly once the stitch was out.

A dr said the weeping was possibly due to the stitch being in too long.

Don't stress over it, if there was a possibility you would end up back in hospital the nurse would have reported back to the Dr before now.

Have an easy day today and just stroll in tomorrow thinking 'thank goodness this stitch is coming out'

Take care

Gill

Hi Ann and Gill, Ann I wouldn't worry about tomorrow, just think of it as getting rid of your soreness and look foreward to it. I have a long scar under my breast and the relief when the tight stitches came out was immediate.
Gill I'm so pleased you are looking in and posting, how does it feel to be a helper, you put Ann's mind at rest, she feels better for it now, and all it took was your knowledge of the situation. We need you on here so don't go wandering off again lol.
It was good to see all the nice comments yesterday about this being a nice comfy thread and a safe one, It's also nice to see more peeps joining us.
Hope everyone has a good day.

KEEP TALKING TALKING and TALKING. Tell them what you feel like and what you need.Mental health has been the poor relation of the NHS,since it began A lot of the people providing care in mental health are too busy going on courses instead of listening to people The more courses they go on the higher the pay.The NHS now ask people in wheele chairs what they need to help them to lead a happy indepedent life I wonder how long it will be before they do the same for people with mental health needs, instead of talking at them Yes keep on talking ,Talking and laughting is the best medication for us all. Get on a bus in liverpool- if you feel like a natter Liverpool people talk to everyone woops.just spelt every evere Love and best wishes to you all A SCOUSER
