What about liberty bodices and the RUBBER buttons, what was they all about? I think I can remember nearly everything everyone has mentioned. Nice to see you Jim C Octogenarian, bet you could tell us a thing or two!!! Gill I used to love aqua manda, thought it so sophisticated, wonder what I'd think of it now if I could smell it? Lynda

What about Indian brandee for an upset stomach, and dolly blue to keep your whites white, I'm not that old but I can remember my mum using it. I also remember a new setting lotion in the 60's called Dippitydo, made my hair as stiff as a board. Sally

Dorothy You can still buy Collis Browns liquid. I always have some in my cupboard, it's the only thing to cure upset stomachs fast. When I worked in a chemist shop in the 60s we had a customer who was addicted to it. He used to buy 6 bottles at a time! Mind you I think they might have changed the recipe now, it used to contain morphine and probably opium too. Sue

Dorothy - almost sure you can still get Kaolin and Morphine at the chmists (of course one asks for it rather softly, so that no one realises you have the trots, or are an addict!) Jacqui
