Lynne Report 6 Apr 2006 22:09

must admit I have wondered in the past why people on these boards ask strangers for support during their times of trouble. Now I am having a rethink as I have realised that I too need to tell people outside the family because they cannot handle the situation. (Neither can I)! Maybe people who do not know me can offer advice? So, I will get to the point - my daughter, Jacqui, aged 34, happily married with 3 kids (almost 16, 13 and 10) has just been diagnosed with a brain tumour.] She is having an operation on Saturday (via BUPA as the NHS means a wait of 3 months) The hospital has told her it may be benign but she will definately lose her hearing in her right ear and possibly the facial nerves. Until they operate they don't know wether it is malignant. My best frient lost her son, aged 27 to a brain tumour 8 years ago and I just cannot think positive about this. So I am appealing to you all to give me your prayers and positive thoughts as I have seen you all support other on these boards. I am going to try and get some sleep now so will not be responding tonight but will in the morning. Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to respond. Lynne
