My nephew was the same age as your daughter when he had the same illness as your daughter, we were all so very worried and found , like you it very hard to cope with. But 2 years on you would never know he went through this . he was back at work within 6 months of his op, and he is fine now. I hope all goes well for your daughter, i will be thinking of her and you all. as from tomorrow i am offline for a while due to moving. but as soon as i am back i will check your thread in the hope of a good outcome. Lynne So sorry to hear your news. Hope the outcome is good news. At least she is being operated on quickly - not giving the tumour to grow. As far as medicine is concerned 8 years is a long time for progress. Last year I was diagnosed with a genetic skin cancer (I'm 38) Five years ago the treatment they were using on this cancer made it worse. Now it has a normal lifetime expectancy . I'm sure they have looked into tumour a lot in that time too & how to deal with it. Hoping for a peaceful time for your whole family. Penny |
