Joy I do agree with you re: William. I personally would not sing God Save The King for Charles. But I do respect The Queen. xx |

Felicity and Anne.... no-one is intruding. This is what is so great about this Board when it works ... that people can air different views without it getting out of hand. Long live freedom of speech. Jean :))))) |

Karrie I don't respect him. Simple as that. I don't like his behaviour, I don't like his opinions. I think he is churlish and unfit to be king. xx |

thats fair enough.... I agree.. but dont you think this queen has given up a lot of her royals powers... not that that is such a bad thing actually |

Karrie Yes I think she has but I believe she has done it because it was what most people (not necessarily me) wanted her to do. |

I agree, I dont think she had any choice... society has changed since the kings & queens of old... I dont really care about them one way or the other... but I think they are good for tourism.... |

hi marie,i still miss diana,i cannot stand camilla or charles, its to deep for me.the queen should have given charles a choice her or the throne.had he have chosen her,i would give my respect to him,but he did,nt he wants both, and guess what he got it.cos mummy let him.she let so many of her subjects down,me being one.the queen mum was right to stand firm.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxjoy |

I do agree with you Joy totally. However in the Queen's defence I think she was trying to avoid another abdication type scandal. It affected her mother very deeply and I think she had a hard time coming to any decisions re Camila. xx |

i can see where your coming from marie ,but i would sooner he abdicate and show his devotion as his uncle did ,than all this .think i would of come round a bit.i find charles very selfish and pathetic, and she will never stand in dianas shoes for me.shes a fake.i love to see the younger ones bringing in a breath of fresh air.much nicer.xxxxxxxxxxxxjoy |

Karrie Well the Americans would have been thrilled wouldn't they? One of their own on the throne. !!!!! Can you imagine what that would have done for tourism !!!! They didn't have children did they? So it would have gone to Charles GOD HELP US !!!! |

The queen has always acted most properly. Philip, as he wasn't a direct royal did speak his mind from time to time. He was usually right..! but perhaps not always appropriate in the circumstances. Charles is a charlie, lost the plot years ago when he started talking to his plants, and Camila a forune seeker and wants to watch her step. However Charles does not live of the State so what he does with his money is his own business. The two boys should be left to get on with their lives in peace and as long as they act as normal healthy lads then no probs. Swastika armbands are not normal though. |

I couldn't agree with you more Joy. Really. I loved Diana. I just think that the Queen felt that the Monarchy would not survive another abdication and he is weak enough to have chosen the throne and then lived to regret it and changed his mind once he was wearing the crown. She would know !!! |
