Well, it's nearly time for my annual bath :-(

The coal is almost depleted but I won't was the bath out first as it will still look the same after the annual event :-S :-D :-D :-D

What, you may ask, brought about this piece of personal trivia?

I misread Caroline's post about missing my vocation, and thought that the word was vacation ;-)

I always have a bath before going on my holidays as it saves complaints from hotel management about the state of the sheets! :-D :-D :-D

I get the blame again do I okay then....so the annual bath whether you need it or not...

I know that this is the bland thread but I just want a whinge about the lack of individuality whether it be of things animate or inanimate.

Take cars for instance. Once upon a not so distant time ago, you could tell the make of a car by its body shape and distinctive colouring. Now most models (cars, that is) have the same body shape.

Having put the word 'car's in brackets in the last sentence, I suppose the same could also be said of human models. :-(

Which brings me nicely to people; we all seem to be lacking in individuality, turning into Sir Terry Prattchett's Auditors.

Even an organisation of which I am a member enforces a strict dress code so that we all have to wear the same dress.

Not literally the same dress, of course, as it would have to be a very large dress. Also it's not one of those organisations that sanctions cross-dressing, unfortunately ;-) :-D

We do, however, have to wear dinner suits when sometimes I feel like just wearing my birthday suit. Mind you with the shape and tone of my body that could be carrying individuality too far!

Do you have to wear particular 'ceremonial' socks too?
....or could you wear the glittery ones :-D

For some reason I keep getting these weird images of Allan...Birthday suit .....and black socks.....that's my evening ruined :-D

I used to paint my wife in the nude in my younger days...I kept my socks on as I needed somewhere to store my paintbrushes :-D :-D
