year before last attended two funerals in the snow - first one, my lovely next door neighour - her husband had the coffin the house all week and the snow was like a blizzard - we wondered if the hearse would reach the house - it did and I thought I'd follow it up to the next village for the church service - however, that proved futile so I made it on my own - we then had to go to the crematorium which is on the side of the mountain overlooking Cardiff - the road was actually closed but we got through and then the refreshments after were nearly at the top of the mountain!! road closed and staff from the hotel ferrying people in 4X4s - fortunately my little Micra made the journey to the top - so glad I made it cos so many couldn't manage it |

We might get snow tonight, although in this coastal area it isn't usually too much of a problem, although the limited number of roads that are gritted does make getting around a problem. |

Although we might get wintery showers over the weekend, the snow isn't expected to fall until Monday afternoon through to rush hour on Tuesday. |

The first few flakes are just falling here, 30 miles north of Cardiff. We're 1200 feet up so we usually get a good covering. There's a biting east wind too. It's enough to cut you in half. |

Oh, flippin heck Annie. That means Rhigos and Maerdy Mountain will be closed tonight and we will get it next in Pontypandy. Hope it is clear before I go back to work Monday week :-) |

A small village off the Heads of The Valleys Road, Ann. John, I used to live in your part of the word and those mountain roads never seemed to be open for long in the winter. Those were the days when we had real snow. I'm off to Asda now. If I'm not back by this evening send a St. Bernard. |
