I don't want it to end, but what an ending it will be be. I wonder how many will be saving for Rio to do it all over again :-D

The bits I saw on TV looked bitty I want to see how they show the London bridge wrapped up and unwrapped during the end show and why they have a traffic jam in London.?

I have to admit I didnt like the opening show . I hope the closing will be better?

The Games its self I think were wonderful. I was not looking forward to them. as I am not really a sports person but I have to admit. I looked at many of them. and enjoyed. the only thing I missed was the News we didnt get news as such about 3 minutes the rest was games results and we had already seen them on 1 and the other chanels.

I just hope the closing ceremony is as good as the opening ceremony was. I thought it waas great.

The opening ceremony was the best nights tv I've seen in a long time.

Myself & my kids 17 & 13 are watching the ending ceremony tonight - cant wait :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

My sister thought the same as you Ann she loved it. she has been to many of the events in and around London and taken some good photo's this morning she went to see the Marathon. and said there were not many people where she was. and she found it wonderful. but very hot. and the runners themselves looked so hot.

I think tonight according to what I have seen it will be mainly music. but they show shots of the London eye and London Bridge and a traffic jam on the bridge.goodness know why they have to show that .?
I think on the whole the games have been wonderful and brought alot of people together. reminds me of how we were during the Blitz..
The compeitors seem pleased with the way it was run and how people turned out to cheer them on.

My daughter has been so excited for the closing ceremony coz the spice girls are appearing and I cant believe they are AGAIN wheeling out ruddy Paul McCartney I hope he mimes.... :-D

I turned the opening ceremoney off when Paul McCartney come on so hope hes near the end of the closing ceremony so I can turn it off again lol ;-)

London will be "lighting up" If they do the fireworks half as good as they do on New years eve, then it'll be amazing, really tempted to go and stand in the middle of London, and tell it I love it :-D

Looking forward to the Paralympics , just enough time, before they start, to see people I haven't seen since the Olympics began, my friends think I have abandoned them :-D

Oh Gawd - the Spice Girls and Macca - think I'll give it a miss

Dont get me wrong I am looking forward to the closing ceremony just not Paul McCartney lol (awaits onslaught from other scousers) :-P

Will be sitting with me popcorn on sofa and watching, and enjoying :-), the athletes were amazing as were the volunteers and soldiers whom helped makes the games what they are ! Brilliant !!! :-D

I think we can be fairly sure the Spice Girls will mime as only 2 can sing in tune. I'll watch it but I'll turn over for their bit, can't stand them

I have only met one person who thought Macca should of sung, but she was someone who has liked him from the early days and felt disloyal by saying he couldn't sing now, but she did say maybe he should of given up singing a while back, so really she thinks he can't sing, but can't bring herself to say it :-D

As for The Spice girls, there songs were great for young kids, and they had a bit of oomph, A little girl who I loved dearly, and lived with us for a while, absolutely adored them, and she once cleared a dance floor, with her dancing to a spice girl song, she tragically died, so when the Spice girls sing, I shall think of her, and sod Posh if she can't crack at least a grin :-|

Hope the weather is okay for this evening, it looks very overcast in my part of London at the moment not far from the Olympic Park. It may be the smoke from the big fire at Dagenham is up in the clouds making it look so dull.

I did read that the way the wind is blowing, it should blow away from the park, if the wind changes, everyone in Dagenham will just have to blow the smoke in the opposite direction :-D

It must be blowing in my direction then Lynda ! Mind you it does look a little brighter now. - yes can see a chink of the sun now so you laying down the law must have worked !! :-D

Maybe they should leave the entertainment to the athletes - if it's going to be mimed let them do it.

Just had a text from daughter in Germany on the start of her European holiday..... record the closing ceremony! She must have heard Spice Girls were on there. We went to see them years ago and they were good. Of course I only went because my daughter was too young to go on her own :-)
