	Well proud to be British, humour, drama, great music, the telling of of our history, theatre and it's not over yet, I'd call it culture. Loved it at the rehearsal, loved it more on the night, and it isn't over yet, just wait to see what is to come :-D The reason the speak in French? It is the first tongue of the IOC, it's done at every Olympics. One thing I don't want to happen though is David Beckham to light the flame, I hope it's someone who has either won an Olympic medal, or a non celeb, who deserves to.

	I can't honestly say I enjoyed it may be it was the BBC coverage seemed all over the place made it look a bit messy but saying that Daughter and Stepdaughter loved every minute of it xx

	I'd have more sympathy for the IT'S BRIT if the other countries sang the bleeding anthem.........but hey..........who cares........this is what the world will be watching........everything else is secondary x

	Beckham worked bloody hard to bring the Olympics here........wouldn't have a problem with him playing a role in it..........much as at times he annoys the bejesus out of me lol x

	Not into sport particularly but am enjoying the opening. It's probably a bit confusing for some from other countries, but it does show how much the British have to be proud of. Great history lesson! I agree Rose....the rendition of Abide with Me was diabolical. Don't have a clue who the woman was either..... :-S The James Bond bit was good. Hey Eldrick......guess who liked the fact that hymns were sung???? ;-) :-D

	I've not seen any of it; I've been in the kitchen and just come in for a glass of juice before I head to bed for a couple of hours sleep. I have got it recording though in the hope of seeing my friend's son. He could well be one of those who look like they are in pjs. xxJ
