#holds head in despair!#
Ladies, give me strength to carry on!
It seems that Pat-trish-aaaah has been watching Corporation Street, and has taken a few pointers from Tracey's Wedding.
I fear THEIR wedding will come awry, so I am point Pat-trish-aaaah in a different direction.
I think dear Juan has his own Spanish outfit, Teresa dear, although that Mr Wonnacot did cut, erm, a dash in his! It also his his throat metaphorically too, as he was booted out of Strictly a bit pronto.
Did I mention that we are having red Poppies adorning the Bequest House? We thought it fitting, as they were marrying on Rememberance Day.
Have you been to the Tower of London ladies? The poppies in the moat are truly a wonder to behold. Very emotive and emotional. Do look at the photos on net dear Susan.
I do hope all is well with dear Lesley. I send her much love.
I hope you are all well dears.

Good morning Ladies,
Petunia, I am out of the loop with the 'wedding plans', sadly ( or not) I have given up on Coro so am 'lost' in the "I don't know a thing about Tracey's wedding" kind of way.... What have I missed.?
Petunia, we did see the Poppy memorial on television, my sister visited recently. I would love to have seen first hand. What is to happen to the poppies when the display is dismantled?.
It does seem an age since I popped in to say hello. I am aghast at how quickly this year is marching on by. I am off to see Mama on Thursday as is it will be one year since my Papa passed away..... Quite unbelievable.
It has started..... nasty fireworks... They went on sale yesterday and the first night has passed with incident. A horse was hit by a car fleeing in distress from fireworks. It is wet here today, I hope it rains for the next few days and puts a damper on 'proceedings'.... Always an idiot or two to ruin things.
Our little N will soon be three months old. She is a poppet, growing rapidly. She is going to be a tall girl it seems. Nothing sweeter than being on the receiving end of a smile from N. :-). The pooch seems fond of the baby and is often seen trying to give N a 'lick' :-D.... yuk...
It is Monday morning so I had better get on with readying myself for the working day ahead...

Welcome Back, dear Upside down Susan, back into the fold.
The poppies have been sold off to the General Public. A donation will be made from each one to the Royal Legion. Unfortunately I was not quick enough to nab one.
Corrie is moving at a fast past dear. I shall not spoil it for you. But Tracey had a BIG wedding. I shall say no more.
Well the Wedding of The Year is about two weeks away now.
All is booked, the dresses are being fitted, the cake made, the hymns selected, and at last, I think I can relax. I do hope so.
I do hope you all have your webcams on when the dirty deed takes place. I need all the support I can get.
I do hope you are all well dears.

#tippytoes onto thread VERY gingerly, and flops down on chaise longue#
Dear Ladies, I hope you are all well. I wish I could say the same, I have a terrible head, and a gippy tummy, it must be something I ate.
Well the Wedding went off spendidly. I suspect you were all watching the webcam, but if not, we will have DVDVDVDVD's sent out to you all.
The morning dawned a bit grey, but nothing to dampen Pat-trish-aaaaah's spirits. She was up with the lark, and just waiting for the lady to come and beautify her. I must say, she had a tough job, but as Pat-trish-aaaah has lost a bit of weight, she definitely looks better for it. Over the last week, she has been scrubbed, waxed and slathered with creams, and it all worked out very well.
Juan and his family took over the West Wing of Motie Towers, and we never did get to bump into them in the queue for the bathroom.
Pat-trish-aaaah was a vision in Ivory duchess satin, and he had a full train. Dear little Valentine and Celestine were attendants, and considering their age, behaved very well.
Dear George acted as chauffeur, and took both Pat-trish-aaah and I to the Bequest House on the Heath. Juan looked very dashing, and the ceremony went off without a hitch. I am most relieved.
All our friends had a marvellous time, and the drinks flowed like water. I think I must have had one too many, but one now and again is not to be judged too harshly.
The happy couple partied into the night, and then returned to the Towers, for their Wedding Night. As you know Pat-trish-aaaah has her own self contained flat, so we left them to their own devices.
This morning they left for their Honeymoon. Back to Spain, where they first met, and they were both starry eyed. I wept a little, and breathed a sigh of relief that it all went so well.
So, now we will eagerly await the photographs to be delivered.
Christmas arrangements are to be organised at Church, so that will keep me busy until the LoveBirds returned.
Another chapter over dears, I wish them well.

Hello Ladies,
It does seem an age since I last popped in. Sorry I missed all the revelry Petunia. I hope you have recovered. No doubt you are all consumed with preparations for Christmas.
Heavens to Murgatroyd, Ladies, Christmas is now less than one month away.... It seems no time since we were preparing for last years celebrations. We are hosting the family again this year, though we are reduced in numbers somewhat. Some are working, some are doing their own thing. I am sure those of us here are more than capable of getting into the spirit of things, probably the wine too.. :-D.
My little buddie next door is growing like a mushroom. She is all smiles, it is so lovely to be on the receiving end of a smile. I had my first solo baby sitting on Monday. We managed well... I am having another bash this morning as her mummy is off to the hairdresser.. We are off to Perth on Friday for a flying visit to attend my nieces wedding. Fruit is a tad nervous about how well the baby will travel. Our flight is 7.5 hours long...... Time will tell.
I trust you are all fit and well ?. Is your weather starting to bite?. We are having a long wait for some decent weather, I should be careful what I wish for as I understand it was 31o yesterday where my niece lives.. :-S..
Time to get on with my day, I must blame my absences on my time wasting (?) next door each morning, I run out of time to pop in to say hello.
Have a pleasant evening.

Good Afternoon Ladies, how are we all?
I have posted out the DVDVDVD's to you all, so you can see the splendour of it all, the Wedding that is! The honeymooners are back, and I have made arrangements for part of the second floor to added to the self-contained flat so they can spread out a little more. It will mean a door in the middle of the corridor, but needs must when the devil calls.
Now....................I have a jolly piece of news gels. I have won the Premium Bonds! Dear ERNIE sent me a letter last week to tell me the good news. They informed me of the amount, and I must say it aint half bad! It is about time too, I have had the bonds for about 50 years......................
So, I am orft on a cruise dears, I am taking Lavinia and Octavia with me, and we will be sharing a Suite on a Liner. Such Larks. It will take about 6 weeks, and we will be in warmer climes. I have got out all the luggage, and am just deciding what to take with me. Panama hat and parasol are at the top of the lists. As dear George says, Cruises are all bunk! I wonder what he means?
Therefore ladies, may I wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR. I look forward to regaling you with tales of derring do in 2015.
Til then dears, Pip Pip

Good evening dear Ladies. I AM HOME!!
Well dears what an adventure I have had! As you know I went with Octavia and Lavinia on a World Cruise. How jolly is that?
We set off from Southampton dears, on a beautiful white Cruise Liner, we waved and cheered, and slowly, very slowly, we set off on our Great Adventure!
The first night was very jolly, we set sail in the afternoon, and we had all our clothes unpacked for us, no roughing it for us! The First Night, we had a soiree, and met the Captain. A rather chic Cocktail Party I will have you know.
We eyed up the competition, and they us!
The very next day we were cruising down the coast of France. We had an afternoon excurison in the South of France, and showed everyone what we were made of. We toured the harbour, and had afternoon tea on a very nice yatch. We met a pleasant man called George. He was honeymooning with his new wife, and he said Octavia reminded him of his dear Mama, and asked us onboard. Well it would have been insulting not to accept his invitation, so we said yes. He made a great show of using a coffee machine, and dropped it into the conversation. Coffee in the afternoon! How common!
Back on the Ship, we changed for dinner and went to see the Show. As we were in France, we were treated to Can Can Girls. Pretty gels with frilly drawers, and then we danced the night away. I must say there were plenty of very respectable men to escort us onto the dancefloor, and we had a very jolly time.
Overnight we travelled down towards Spain, and we had a day at sea.
Needless to say there will be souvenirs for you all gels. Duck down while the perfume from Madame Coco comes down the cyber hatch.
That is enough excitement for one night dears, more tales of derring do to follow.

Hello Petunia,
How lovely to have you back at the helm. I trust we will be entertained a plenty by tales of your escapades.
Many thanks for the Madam Coco :-), I shall give myself a healthy spray before I leave the house this morning, no doubt I shall leave a very fragrant trail where ever I pass today. :-D. I shall have to hide Madam from my fruit as it is one of her favourite fragrances.
We have had a wonderfully hot summer, in fact our farmers are complaining it has been too hot and dry :-(. We are on the downward slide to Autumn now, as ever, the seasons continue to change.
Have a pleasant evening. I look forward to hearing more of your adventure.
~~~~~~~ to all,
Toodle
Ah ladies, you have returned to the fold. No doubt your festivities with your families over the Christmas period was wonderful. How lucky you are to have family to share it with.
I have been troubled with a cold over the past week or so, and took to my bed, but I am much better now, thank you very much.
Now I have told you briefly about Francais, now let me enlighted you about Spain. Can you hear my castinets clacking?
As you know I have 'history' with Spain, and I thought the time was right to face my demons and go back there. Also it was a good opportunity to meet the in-laws.
I must say that Pat-trish-aaaaah and Juan were most encouraging for me to meet the family, and I can now see why.
The ship docked at Barcelona, to the other tourists to have a day excursion. I did explain to the dear Captain, that we would be spending three days in Spain, and that we would rejoin the ship further down the coast.
All the passengers trundled off the ship and made their way down the gangway. They were all of aflutter, with the prospect of spending time with the locals. No doubt there were numerous fans, castinets, teatowels, and all manner of local ware being transported back to their cabins.
I have arranged ahead to have a cab to meet us at the port, and we quickly sped away into the countryside. I must say, the country lanes have changed somewhat since I was last there. But I need not say the circumstances of my last visit, as we are all women of the world, but it was not a happy time for me then.
Juan [the father] was waiting for us on the veranda when we arrived. He and his wife Dolores [a most handsome woman] made us most welcome. All three of us ladies had to share a room, but that was not different to us sharing our Suite on the ship. It was freshly painted white, with little wooden beds. I must say it was very pretty, there were handmade spreads on the beds, someone has nimble fingers!
Our visit was over in a flash, we met all the family, and Conchita who Pat-trish-aaaah became very friendly with, has two little girls of her own Lucia and Marcela. Both with a shock of black hair, and olive skin. They were the prettiest little girls I have seen in many a year. I shall hemail you the photos in due course.
We were taken around the town, and introduced to everyone, we ate with extended family, toured the local vineyards, visited churches and was made to feel so welcome, it was a real wrench to leave. But leave we did. After distributing our gifts and receiving presents back. I dare say our presents were more authentic than those at the portside, but we are not ones to gloat or show off. We just wore our hand crafted shawls the next time we went to dinner!
I must say it is years since I cruised, and I felt just like Deborah Kerr in An Affair to Remember, standing by the rail looking out over the sea, with the moon playing on the waves.
Well, I do not wish to impart all my news in one go, keep them wanting more is the order of the day.
