UPDATE page 5
and crossed fingers please for my daughter. She is having an op tomorrow to remove a small (grade2) lump from her breast. It is malignant but caught very early after having her first mammogram after reaching 50. (And she nearly didn't bother to go). it is so small it can't be felt. She is having a fairly new procedure which is apparently less invasive than a lumpectomy and then probably radiotherapy. She could apparently have wated until after Christmas but wanted it out of the way. OK it may be small but we are still concerned, i think she is more worried about having an operation as she has never had one before.
So I would appreciate all the thoughts you can throw her way. Thank you.

Oh and a double whammy, while doing the blood test they discovered she has type 2 diabetes!!! Which will be controlled by medication and diet.

Thank you. Yes, it emphasises the importance of mammograms, she nearly didn't go because of all that has been in the paper about them not being important etc.

Wishing your daughter a comfortable and speedy recovery Ann.
A family member had a tumour picked up on a routine scan - she'd had no indication that anything was amiss and is currently undergoing treatment. Need I say more?

I wish her all the best, as it's been found so early the outlook must be pretty good. That doesn't mean you and T won't worry yourselves sick BUT she is being treated so keep your spirits up.

Love from me and him

Thanks again, yes a worrying time especially as there is nothing we can do to make it better. Can't put a sticky plaster on this one. She is postitive so that is good but wary as we all would be. I was bad enough when I had two that were benign.
