That's interesting Catie as I am with tal*tal* and since a couple of months ago have been unable to send e-mails to Shirl and she can't send them to me. I have to use another e-mail address for Shirl now and that works fine both ways. I can send them ok to everyone else. I am trying to sort it out with them but they have not got back to me to tal*tal* to me like they said so I'm going to have to ring them again I think.

I'll try sending Fiona's pics too.

Morning All,

Sorry to hear about Chris's other doc. What an awful thing to happen.

Mandy the eggs were probably snails or large slug eggs if they were clear. Snakes eggs are usually opake.

Well after the visit from the doc yesterday I had said or asked if mum could have a commode. It arrived whilst I was out in the afternoon. A brand new one. When OH asked about one for his mum it took ages and they had to go through all these papers etc to see if she was eligable to need it!!!! OH said it took ages and he could'nt beleive that it arrived a little while after the doc had been.

She is still asleep at the mo but she has used it in the night as the lid is now on it!! So now thats another job for old Mel..............

Afternoon all,

Sorry to hear that Mums not well MEL, also sad news for Chris. JANE. Trust everyone is well,

Have got rid of all greenhouse tomato plants, scrubed pots and trays. and washed all down. It looks so clean now, I think I could move in.!!! Have cleaned out filters for fish pond and cleaned the pump. Ros picked the last of the beans, and took up all plants. The Green bin is full now. When I cut the lawn the cuttings will have to go in neighbours bin, also any other garden rubbish.
Going for Shower and Shave now, then settle down for the afternoon.

See you later.

you have been busy Frank outside, I have only been outside to hang some washing out and was glad to come in though it's dry and sunny there's a real chilly wind.

Daughter no 1 phoned she'd been to toddlers with Sofia this afternoon and while it was snack time they had pieces of bananas and strawberries all put out on paper plates. most the kids wouldn't eat the fruit but Sofia decides to go around and pick up all the fruit of the plates and eats the lot, much to the astonishment of the mums, daughter said thats normal Sofia eats practically anything, loves all fresh fruit & veg. Thats my girl!!!!

Mandy , daughter no 1 says she has quite a bit of money for Sofia which was given by relatives for Sofia's birthday so she is looking forward to also going shopping for new boots and snow suit so Sofia can play outside this winter.

Afternoon All.
Oh Dear what a sad day.Mandy I'm not sure exactly how old Jenny was but I think she may be 59.She died last night at 7,and it was her OH birthday.Peter(herOH) is a retired GP and for many years has been working and set up a Charity in the Camaroon (can't spell that) in Africa for Children who suffer from a rare cancer, but when caught can be treated completely. He has walked in the Antarctic and done all sorts to raise money. On Sunday there is planned an event at their home for the Charity, and people are coming from Africa(I think from the hospital there that treat these children.Bad timing or what!!!!.But she was involved ans would want it to go ahead.Poor Peter ,I'm not sure he will cope terribly well.
Chris has to work this evening so has gone for a little kip now.

Mel I hope your Mum is up now.I am very impressed with the commode arriving so fast.

I love the sound of that soup Mandy.I am roasting sunflower seeds at the moment. From our own flowers!!.It was Chris's idea.
Back again later.I am trying to get James clothes ironed ready for him to go back to Uni on Sunday.

Frank have you got your feet up now??

CatieI Report 16 Sep 2010 15:49

Hi Everyone.

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear about Jenny. It will be such a shock to you all as she seemed to be improving.

Mandy, that soup does sound tempting....I make casseroles, stews etc... but not soup. Perhaps I will give it a try.

Fiona.... I wish the twins were like Sophia and not fussy with their food. I think things have improved with them, but they are not keen on any vegetables apart from peas. The little tinkers lol

I've been out buying the children some new clothes. I found that very tempting as all the clothes looked so cute. Trouble is, they grow so quickly don't they. I had to walk past some of the rails very quickly lol

Jane Report 16 Sep 2010 16:18

My 2 never liked any veg when they were little.I struggled to get any down them. Not a lot has changed lol.
Broad beans were the worst veg for me when I was young. They used to make me gag.I still don't like them today.I used to take the skins off and then hide the beans in amongst the rest of the food.Mashed potato was the best thing to hide them in lol

Considering I was such a faddy eater as a child, I have been lucky with my lot, it's only my son who is a fussy eater the girls would eat anything. My mum made me sit at the dining table all Saturday afternoon once because I wouldn't eat my vegetables, I'm the same Jane, but with greens they still make me gag. I didn't eat them. She gave up in the end.

Think sad news comes in more than three's Shirl. have just heard that my brother's friend died, I remember them all as teenagers, always round our house on a Saturday, that was mum's baking day, so there were plenty of sausage rolls, mince pies, rock cakes.

Had a very relaxing weekend with daughter and partner in the cottage, it's near Ashford, Kent. Completely surrounded by fields and woods. We decided to go for a walk, managed to cock me leg over the fence into the field and these two burly rams came towards us, I was back over that fence a bit quick !!!!!
