Hello Everyone,

It's blowing a gale here - never seen the washing line rotate so quickly lol

Hope Sheila is feeling a little better today. What a nasty thing to happen.
Elizabeth - my thoughts are with you at this time and I'm sending positive thoughts for your husband.

Kevin, I wonder if they have 'bob a job week' these days. I've not had anyone knock. If they did, I wouldn't have the heart to give them too much to do though.

Memories of my childhood came flooding back today. I went along to the twins class assembly and they sang ''Kumbya My Lord'' and ''All Things Bright and Beautiful'' - two of my favourites. The enthusiasm with which the songs were sung was wonderful. What a magical age 4 is.

Well, today my hairdryer packed up, BIL's kettle started to leak and my OH's mobile phone won't charge properly. What's that all about lol.As Frank would say..... More Money lol

I knew today would not be a good one when I woke up.Hannahs house has fallen through AGAIN.3rd time now,The estate agent tried to ring her mobile and got an international dialing thing,so rang me with the news.I said we wouldn't tell her until she gets back from Croatia, but Hannah saw a missed call on her phone and rang the estate agent!!.She then rang here in tears. She was on a beach in a beautiful cove on some island. This news will spoil the rest of her holiday now.
I want to scream!!!!!!!!!.Don't feel very chatty .Sorry.

Catie I should start stocking up on tissues now lol.I always ended up with a pocket full of soggy ones after school do's.Did you have to sit on tiny chairs??

Fiona

Fiona Report 15 Sep 2010 17:29

Hi all
Catie I used to love going to school to watch my two girls performing in concerts and also in the nativity service at church, we used to have a opperetta at church and both my girls were in many of the shows. daughter no 1 was the goose in mother goose and daughter no 2 would be a fairy, or a sailor in Robinson Crueso(sp), daughter no 2 was a right little actress and one of her ambitions was to play Joseph in Joseph and the amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
One year her primary school put on a concert of all the musicals and because my daughter had(still has) a lovely voice and enjoyed being up on stage they gave her the part. she was so proud she smiled the whole way through.
The following week was a holiday and all the family went to Blackpool to see the musical which just happened to be performimg there in one of the theatres.

Sofia was fine after her Jab just as you said Jane little ones only cry for a minute after the needle goes in. Daughter was really pleased as we managed to get her weighed and she was 23lbs 10oz , nurse says thats just over the average weight of a 1 year old , which is good she won't put on much now as she is up on her feet most of the time. they also mentioned that Sofia was very tall for her age ,we did say after all her daddy is 6'4 so thats to be expected.
off to make dinner BBL
Catie did you get my photo's.

Shirl apparently the survey the Lady had done on the house showed lots of things that need to be done and she thinks it is too much work for the money she has to do any work. The estate agent has asked her to send a copy of the survey so we can see what they said.I rang back and said if Hannah knocked down the amount she offered would she still be interested.Anything just get rid of it.It is just a real B****..Three years it has been on and off the Market now.
Enough doom and gloom now.I will move on from that subject.

Mandy I 'm curious to know what those things are that you found. Are they not Grass Snake.
When I was at the vets earlier, there a gorgeous black Lab who had gone in to be checked after an op yesterday to remove a Crab Apple from its tummy.Apparently this is the third year running they have had to do an operation to remove one.!!!! The owner said from now on everytime the dog goes for walks at this time of year he will have a muzzle on lol

Jane Report 15 Sep 2010 17:55

Fiona I'm glad Sofia was fine with her Jab.It's all over in a second isn't it and yet the poor parent who has to put their child through it frets for hours beforehand lol
I love looking back at photos and videos(although we don't have a video recorder any more) of the children in their school plays and Nativities.James was a Christmas Pudding one year.I can't think right now the other things he was ,but all were quite funny.

Been to Holsworthy. Had doc call this morning late to see mum. Told her I did'nt know she was coming and she told mum she was just passing on her way to the old peoples home up the road so that worked out well. She said she would call in any time she was passing and she goes to the home quite a lot. Mum seemed much brighter and she had eaten a nice slice of hovis toast. I cut it into little fingers with the crusts off and thick butter. She told me she did'nt want anything but I did some for my lunch and took two fingers in and she said she would have more!! I was delighted she had also had a biscuit and a coffee and a tea and a glass of water. Nothing since but another tea. Now can I get anything down her tonight????????????

MillymollyAmanda Report 15 Sep 2010 18:41

Jane..... What a blow for Hannah. Let's hope her luck will change. Had you thought about Auctions ?
Lol, No I didn't sit on a tiny chair ... That would have been agony I think. Or worse still it may have broken up into tiny pieces lol

Fiona... What lovely memories of your daughters. I guess it won't be long until you are going to Sophia's events. Time passes so quickly, doesn't it.
No, I haven't received the photo's Fiona.... I wonder what is going wrong. I'm so looking forward to receiving them too.

Can't rember what Ralph had.
Remember my first day at school.
