Morning, Sleepy heads.
Have a nice evening, srrived about 5pm everywhere was laid out. BBQ under the large trees, Gazebos two with tables all laid up. Food was Leg Lamb, meat kebabs/chicken. Sausages/burgers. Coleslaw rice and sweetcorn. varioua other bits. Bread rools etc. It rained for about a hour, but didn't spoil the evening
Its the first time I have seen the place in daylight. Its 3 old cottages knocked into one with an extention. 5 bedrooms. Acres of garden, mainly old well established trees. a path down to the stream, where there are Chub to about 8lb. He has a dove cote but the Red Kite seems to have his meals there. Keeps loosing them. Feathers everywhere. Chickens, veg garden, Massive swimming pool, all covered up, never used. He has tomatoes growing everywhere. Some in the greenhouse, others in pots all around the swimming pool. They are trying to be the "GOOD LIFE"
We left about 9.30, watch a bit of tels and I was in bed by 1am. Awake at 5.30. Got up at six. All veg done for dinner, going to get breakfast. I suppose madam will rise about 10.am.

Morning Frank and all. It sounds like you had a great time yesterday Frank..........and you had rain. There is still nothing here.I did see yesterday when I was coming out of Corby there had been a downfall there.
Sheila,Only Beryl could have 3 daughters with those names lol.I did have a giggle .Sorry..You sound like a very good and 'patient' friend to Beryl. What film did you go and see?
I couldn't get on the computer after my last post last night.I think it was to do with Firefox.
Roast beef today, yummy scrummy, with all the usual. There is a clear blue sky this morning and it is a smashing day. BBL

We had our first runner beans last week and again yesterday with roast lamb shoulder and rosemary roast pots that were out the tunnel. Delish................................................... and mum ate some and enjoyed it.
Tunnel needs a lot of work up there as I have been running around after OH with all this pool work going on.
Glad the loo is being fixed Mandy. Nothing worse than a loo that dos'nt work properly.

Dinner cooking and smelling good.Goodness knows what time we will eat as James is out playing tennis and Hannah is still asleep after getting in at 4am !!! She wasn't terribly quiet ,I heard the taxi door slam and then her call BYE.Then the bathroom taps going ,the noise is horrendous,it's something to do with the valves .I don't know what ,but is loud enough to wake the dead lol
I was in Tes** earlier and when I walked past the flower stands I got a whiff of something that reminded me of Church!!!!.Weird.I think it was Chrysanths .

Gosh Amanda all this lovely food everyone is on about makes me feel so hungry wish you would not all chat about it. I had some Sea Bass garnished in herbs with chips
My daughter and Mohsen and my husband had Jerky Chicken I was told it was very nice but fancied the Sea Bass love it so much but cannot eat too much of it being so rich but with a nice piece of bread and butter cut thick lovely. With pickles too. I find myself looking just to see what you are eating. Beryl well enjoyed a day in the garden after our trip to the cinema not one thought of her today. I expect shes having a fag and her usual tipple and listening to Slim Whitman disks. Her minor bird gets very excited when she plays them and keeps saying turn it off turn off. He used to say strike a light must be her smoking I think her lodger Bernie the bolt teaches it him. just my name for him. A bald little fat man who can stand on his head in the garden he tried to demonstrate to me but could not do it because I kept saying dont strain yourself and he said I put him off. He pays her bills Beryl said . Her daughters are all very tall wear leather trousers and skirts up round the bottom but the one grandaughter is very nice and pretty. Beryls house is across between a junk shop and a pretty cottage. Full of junk and shes got some lovely cottage furniture and lots of glass and china and some lovely paintings. It is a terrace house and she lives in a beauty spot surrounded by hills its got a cute little front garden really pretty but no back garden just hills .Not long ago she lived not far from us. sheila

Have spent 7 hours today clearing mum's garden, can't believe the jungle it has become in just a couple of months. I am absolutely knack..ed, now, ache all over. She has such lovely neighbours, one offered me a curry, she said it was mild, while the other side kept me supplied with cold coca cola.
I love your Beryl, Sheila, though not sure I'd want her as my friend. I used to drink Vodka and Lime years ago, but with the Spanish influence moved on to Bacardi and Coke !!!!

Evening All,
It sounds as if Beryl is back in spirit even if her poor broken body is still catching up. I think she appreciated you being a good friend Sheila. Her daughters sound like a chip off the old block!! lol
Snap! My tipple years ago was Vodka with lime or orange and I drank Bacardi and Coke for a while too Maureen. After I went to France I got a taste for Pernod, but with iced water not blackcurrant. First OH used to drink rum and blacks.......I didn't like the smell of black rum......Captain Mo*gans.
Amazing how quickly the weeds grow after a few weeks, but after all that effort it must be looking good now Maureen. A good soak in the bath will help the aches and pains which are often worse the day after I find!!
This morning I wrapped anniversary presents for MIL and FIL and OH wrote the labels. Later we took the vino and glasses and soft drinks over to their house as there will be no room in the car when we take the food over. OH will be doing a little speech on thursday and I may get a pic of him in a suit...........only the second time he's had one on since he retired. These days he lives in his gardening stuff at home!

Hi Shirl .What was your wee dog called .Tthat is a good age for a dog to live. My little dog is very cute but always depositing awful things in the house today it was a tiny dead bird he found and dropped on the kitchen floor.
We had a Scottish man in the shop talking about Tatties. this evening. Going to bed in a minute just been trying to find one of mums sisters who went to Ireland did not get very far.

I used to drink Pernod and Barcardi and coke when I went to the University hops .With a wide range of drinks in the shop do not bother now. Beryl does not always drink Vodka and Lime it is all she had got in the house since her accident her drinks cabinet is full most of the time. Anyway enough about her .I am off to bed. Do not want to ramble about Beryl all the while. I like to think she appreciates me but she is different to me I like to curl up with a good book.Talk to my Tunision son in law and watch him cook Tunision dishes. This is slushy but today I asked him if I could have a drink of his orange and he said you can have my eyes if you need them I love you so much. i just wish he could get a shop.

I never did like wine or spirits. I drank Exhibition or Worthingtog E, but haven't done that for years. Like a big mug of Tetleys tea now. Must be showing my age.

Morning All, I love my mugs of tea in the morning.I have 2 huge ones before I am even up.I drink coffee but only about 1 cup a day.I love water, and of course wine and a G&T.Love Pernod too Ann with water and ice like you.
The sun is shining again and there is a lovely little breeze.I am waiting for James to bring his bedding down ,to get it in the machine and out on the line, but he is having a big clear out of his room and everything is on the bed at the moment lol. I spent a lot of time yesterday looking through all the cencus on my adoptive Mums side.I got back to 1841 and my Gt GT GT Grandfather. He was 45 then, and lived not too far away from Mel.I suppose I have to go to Parish records now to go back further.Anyone suggest the best place to use for that please?
