Got them this time Ann, you made a good job of your decorating ,looks lovely and light in the hall.
My goodness thats a marrow !! i see what you mean about eating it this week and next !!

There is 1 more tiny one about 2 inches long........I think this one was like a cuckoo and took all the food! Yes it was very dark in the hall especially with a wardrobe there before, but is much better now it's white.......I have pinched some of OH's wardrobe for the clothes for now.........wonder how long I will get away with that........not long I bet. lol

I've got them now too Ann lol.I have to say your are a darned good decorator.It looks lovely.Good Looking Marrow there!!!!!.I have only ever done one stuffed marrow.Can't remember what it was like now!.I seem to remember it being a bit of a faff scaping and stuffing.
I have just picked the first runner beans,and yesterday the first leek.I was so excited with the beans lol.Have been waiting since last years lot !!!!!!!!!

There's a blockage in the pipe at the back somewhere and hubby carn't get to it .

OMG What kind of blockage ???????.It hasn't flooded you out has it?

No the water won't flush away ,but it hasn't gone over the top thank goodness he thinks its something to do with the length of the pipe he put at the back of the Loo!!!!
Looks like i'll be trotting up stairs to the loo again .

No cooking for me tonight ,sister and BIL are coming round later and bringing Chinese with them.

My poor friend is thin and very frail for her age and the accident did not help but it was a nice afternoon.

Mandy how is Toby .I had to take Jasper to the vet this morning early he keeps eating his paws. I told the vet
about Toby he said most doggies get bad wind after that operation and should eat very little and just a bit of chicken or rice and cabbage water. yuk cabbage water is ok but
with bad gas. No.surely not.

Amanda, a few short years ago, on my birthday,OH blocked nettie(sp) and I was on my knees trying to shift it with a plunger.The rubber cup broke off the end of the stick and went round the bend out of sight. I'd to pay a plumber to get it out of a cavity at the back of a built in bed room cupboard.

Mums always come last !!!!! lol

I hate plumbing.....We don't do plumbing here .Too many disasters in the past lol.I just get straight on the phone to a PROPER plumber.They will sort it !!

It's been a lovely hot afternoon shame i spent most of it in and out of shops looking for bathroom floor covering must have been to at least 6 shops till we finely found what Daughter no 2 wanted at a reasonable price we didn't want much as it's only a small bathroom but all the vinyl coverings were expensive and we were looking for a cut off piece.
we finely found some that we all liked but had to order it so OH will pick it up on Tuesday on his way home from work.
we then went to Dun*lem to buy some towels to match the bathroom and daughter picked up a new towel rail and toilet holder. bathroom is looking really good.

Okay, I've had enough of all the black clouds and rain bring back the sun PLEASE........

Have spent the whole afternoon cleaning the kitchen ..... yes it was that bad ......

Fiona, I do feel for you. When does that reversal happen, gradually probably, where you become the parent and your parent the child.

What a load of rubbish on TV !!!!

Oh David.........sounds like an episode with Frank Spencer in it! lol Ohhhh Betty!! We have blockages at times with our second toilet as the pipe turns at right angles to go out of the wall. We got drain people in to do it the first time and we have used the plunger things, but that is a bit tricky as the plunger is round and the toilet opening is square. Cheaper than the drain people though. Once on a new toilet we had, there was a bit of plastic wire left in the s bend that all the paper was catching on......once it was removed....no more problems!

Thank you Jane, but I have been getting a lot of practice since last year.......kitchen, utility, conservatory. lol I have always done nearly all the decorating since I was first married Sheila. I hate doing all the sanding and filling though and I'm not very quick these days. The rug was only £67 but goes well in there.

The geese have just flown over cackling away to each other. We are convinced they do training flights this time of the year ready for migration as they come over nearly every night, sometimes a bit earlier. Sometimes there are BIG blobs on the cars the morning after.

Having an early night tonight as I have lots to do tomorrow now I feel more like it. MIL's diamond wedding thursday so I need to get organised and get some cleaning done in case any rellies want to come round to our house. Night night xx

Know what you mean Ann. My brother says 90% preparation 10% finish. I always start with this in mind but after 10 minutes

Well it is bedtime for me my throat is worse. Beryl is out of hospital they needed her bed. Her coller bone was not broken just strained her neck. The nurse said it was broken. I think Beryl did not say anything to get more sympathy from Donnie. We went to see a Tom Cruise film today we borrowed a wheel chair and went in a big peoples taxi like car to the city unloaded her in the city and walked to the cinema.My husband left us and Beryl walked inside very weak though on her legs. Beryls arm is in plaster and her ankle .I paid for the cinema and bought her an ice cream had to spoon feed it her. The cinema looked after the wheel chair until we came out had phoned hubby and he paid for the people carrier to pick us up. The whole afternoon worked out very expensive but Beryl needed cheering up. I took her home and helped her into bed and then her daughter came. It will be full make up tomorrow and a vodka and lime her favourite tipple.Bunty her youngest daughter is looking after her so they will be a good pair together both smoke and drink . Anyway done my bit today.The Taxi alone came to £16 pound each way we had the posh cinema seats shared the ice cream. Beryl
said I am dying for a fag I bet when I had gone she had one. Her daughters are Cassie, Bunty ,and Elvira,my husband calls them the three ugly sisters all smoke and drink like mum. Beryl was ok though to me gave me a kiss
and said thank you. I am not going for a while do not want
to pass on my cold. I worry because she gets thinner everytime I see her. Today she had crutches which were a
bind getting in and out of places. But we managed well.
Lunch Wed is egg and chips at her house I am told. nite Sheila. have a nice day tomorrow Ann.
