Me time is a period of time when a woman can put herself first and do something that she particularly enjoys to aid relaxation and revitalisation. This might be as simple as having a bubble bath or sitting down with a cup of tea, or going on a trip to the gym or a weekend away.

OR

Enjoying time with a fireman in a quiet corner, doing whatever takes our fancy!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Mar 2010 18:45

LOL YG. Fireman sounds the best option to me. How are you today and how is Duffy doing?

YG

YG Report 19 Mar 2010 18:51

Duffy's not doing too bad at all LG, but the vet seems to imply that it is the steroid injection that has improved things.

I have to go again on Monday as she wants to have another feel of his abdomen.

I can't afford to pay out another £100 this month for the ultra scan, so will have to see what she says and then have it done next month, perhaps.

Got a lot of mixed feelings at the moment.

LaGooner Report 19 Mar 2010 18:58

I personally think that vets try and milk you for as much as they can as they know we are silly B*****s about our pets. If I was you I'd hang on and see if he keeps improving. When Fenix did her back leg in they were after doing scans and xrays but I decided to see if she kept improving and lo and behold she recovered fine after a steroid injection and pain killers.

YG Report 19 Mar 2010 19:10

I think you're right LG.

He is still cleaning himself and wanting to go out in the garden. He has even taking to playing on the floor wanting his tummy rubbed and is eating much better.

I keep thinking that if it is cancer, there is very little they can do anyway, so scans are going to be a waste of money.

I'm still not comfortable with all the money I paid out for Benji over the last few months before I lost him, having heart traces done, for one vet to say that his heart was ok, yet he had a huge murmur five months later that they couldn't do anything for. It's a long story really, because he was put on Rimadyl tablets but I still feel that I paid through the nose for nothing.

LaGooner Report 19 Mar 2010 19:30

Saying that made me sound as if I don't care for my girls but I do take them if they are definately looking poorly. I just give them time to get better or not as the case may be.

AuntySherlock Report 19 Mar 2010 20:56

I have been locked in the padded cell, three pages back.

Yelling and yelling.

Then I thought to myself, self, what if it is the australia site which is playing up. So I logged onto the .co.uk GR site and all the buttons work.

It is discrimination! That's what it is. So now I need to go remove all the threads, which I might add, did not do any good.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 19 Mar 2010 20:58

Actually I think I might go back and sign on the .au site and see if that is now working.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 19 Mar 2010 21:06

Just posted this on my temporary thread.

All right. They don't call me Sherlock for nothing.

If you log onto the genesreunited.co.uk site all the buttons work. Trust the Poms to have working buttons.

If you log onto the genesreunited.com.au site the reply, add, and a few other buttons do not work. Trust the Aussies to have no idea which buttons to push.

Catch you all later.

Never mind Aunty, we'll let you share our site.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Mar 2010 23:09

Agreed Pauline.

The GR boards would be a sadder place without her wit and repartee! Hopefully the au site will have got itself sorted overnight.
