I didnt watch much of the program, I was out,

BUT the man has his own politics, and he has the right to orate, as well as any other politician,has the right...,


now who were the troublemakers outside the studio??
as far as I can see, it was mainly the so called "NORMAL" minded people.

NOW if they had kept quiet, the show would likely have passed off without much publicity, as it was, the BNP got MORE than their fair share of publicity due to all the fuss.........

To credit this 'person' with having policies is to give him much more credit than he is due ...he is a prat, albeit a dangerous prat.

Rubbish, Bob. The trouble outside happened yesterday evening before the show - the hype about the show had been going on for weeks. I have no idea what sort of people they were - how can you 'see' that people were normal minded?

I don't think anyone is disputing that he has his own politics and has the right to orate. It's the subject of his politics and his views that some people on this thread find so abhorrent.

As Rose said, they were protestors, which is their democratic right. Protests also got rid of the poll tax remember? And that got messy at times. The protests had nothing to do with the viewing ratings for the programme, but the fact that Nick Griffin was going to appear this week was announced weeks ago.

In the end, Nick Griffin is a middle-class twit; and, like so many other middle-class twits, he thinks he has the right to speak for the working-class. Patronising fool.

Arrggggg...You see what I think is the BNP is just another branch of the NF, I remember going to Manchester once as a teenager with my mother and there was a 1 legged old man shouting his mouth off about the bus driver and bus conductor being black and how they are taking over our country and went on to say how he had lost a leg for his country and blah blah and how the NF had the right idea, after enough of hearing his foul gob and I have a fought in a war, my mum stood up and said " yeah and millions others...like my brothers father and OH and his family....they fought a racist dictator ....and won now your wonderful NF is just the same the hate blacks gays anyone on the welfare state hate over 60's think they should be slaughted have no use for them especially one legged ones so if I was you ...I'd save your vote or start digging your own grave.....she got a round of a applaus...

No, honestly Kim Nick Griffin is middle class. He was born in Suffolk, to a wealthy family, and was privately educated before going to Cambridge. He certainly isn't respectable, but don't let that confuse you.

I watched the show with great interest, aside from the Idiot that showed that his party were modern day fascists and have no party policy that’s remotely interesting to the main electorate (and thankfully did a massive amount of damage to his own party for which I am eternally grateful) but I also found the other panellists very interesting.

Baroness Warsi was very articulate and intelligent and held herself well until towards the end, and for me saying anything good about a Tory is something I promise you, its a shame she let slip she was a homophobe!! However, she had some very good responses, although you would have to blind, gag and hit with a cat o nine tails to even consider voting Tory…she held her ground well.

Jack straw I felt let us down somewhat but I give him double brownie points for proposing Nick to offer his thoughts on the Holocaust without any legal implication as Justice minister - Nick again showed himself up.

Chris Huhne for the Lib Dems was very quiet but when he spoke he also had valid points but I feel he should have made his presence stronger.

But for Me Bonnie Greer – I admit my ignorance of not knowing about her before the programme, but boy if I could wish for someone as a dinner guest at my house I would love her to come. She reeled the idiot in and spat him out for breakfast; she was incredibly well mannered and very articulate and whipped his arse!!!

I so want to find out more about this woman she is a figure to look up to and very very quick-witted and entertaining.

Just thinking back about the debate last night (night before lol) and I don't think I was aware that it was against the law to 'deny' the holocaust.

I do not understand anyone wanting to deny it but surely that law is so undemocratic and against the principles of freedom of speech.

Where did it come from??

More than a fifth of voters would consider voting for the British National Party according to the first opinion poll taken since the controversial appearance of Nick Griffin on Question Time.

Taken in the hours after Mr Griffin's appearance, the YouGov poll for The Daily Telegraph found 22% of voters would seriously consider voting BNP in a future local, general or European election.

Two thirds said they would never vote BNP under any circumstances, with the rest unsure.

More than half of those questioned said that they agreed with the BNP, or thought that the party had a point, in wishing to speak up for the interests of the indigenous, white British people which successive governments have done too little to protect.

This included 43% who said that while they shared some of its concerns, they had no sympathy for the party itself.

Twelve per cent said that they completely agreed with the BNP and supported the party's decision to speak up, while 38% said that they disagreed totally with the BNP's political outlook.

The figures are based on a sample of 1,314 electors across Britain interviewed online from October 22-23.

I had a feeling that the approach used by the panelists and Dimbleby would backfire......which is a bl**dy shame as they had the perfect chance to really make a difference there......
a lot of comments I overheard about the show in the playground yesterday bear this out (parents talking not children of course)x

Looks like I may be one 'indigenous brit' who may be on the boat out of here then ...... back to the land of my other gt grandfather I think :)
