Spoke to Dutch today, she has had another fall!! Hurt her other arm now. Fell in the street, and a car driver came over to help her.

Forgot to tell the Dr about her leg hurting.

I left her sounding more cheerfull after our chat. But she isn't really her normal self.

Words fail me!

Why on earth did Dutch 'forget' to tell the doctor about her leg? I told her to write a list so she didn't forget anything.

It's a shame she can't get to see Rachel but safer to stay away if there is swine flu about, with her being low already, it would be awful if she caught it and couldn't travel back before her birthday. I should think Jan is tearing his hair out lol

Joyce, fgs, talk to the doctor again before you come back.

Morning all, I know now why she kept changing the subject when I asked about her legs, slapped wrists for you Joyce,lol.
I must agree that she sounded very down yesterday but she never mentioned another fall, just that her hand was blue and hurting and her bad knee was black and blue. The phone she was using was hopeless and she kept vanishing so we said we would talk today. I'll ask her about this second fall, thanks for letting us know Carole.

Thanks to those who asked, yes I have had a couple of good sleeps, trouble is I don't know which is best, if I sleep all night I am so stiff in the morning I can't move to get out of bed, lol. It's like a comedy routine with hubby trying to get me out without hurting me, we end up laughing, good way to start the day.

Thanks, Carole and Caz. Oh I am beginning to lose patience now, how could Joyce 'forget' to tell the doctor about her legs when she has been complaining about them to us for ages. There is possible a connection between the legs and the falls so it is crucial that she tells the doctor. It surely is not normal to have so many falls.

Joyce, go back and tell the doctor.

Thanks ladies for all the updates. Been away up the mountain for the weekend and just got back - washing machine doing first load - so my excuse to get on the computer !!!
I do wish Joyce would tell all to the doctor - she is having too many falls. Please look after yourself Joyce.

Its really worrying to hear Joyce is falling so much, she really needs to have a complete check up, I wonder if the falling is due to another problem, like everyone else we are baffled as to why she doesnt tell the doctors the full story.... Poor Jan must be so upset and worried, so come on Joyce like Liz said write a list, I know I always do , as I forget stuff....do be careful...

Have had a call off Joyce, it turns out that she hasn't had another fall, Carole Tinkerbell didn't know we already knew about the fall in Liverpool so put it up. Panic over. I asked her why she didn't tell doctor about her legs and she said she had a lot on her mind but was more worried about her arm and hand.
The phone is her mobile and playing up again so will speak to her on Wednesday when she is back in Liverpool. Her legs are not too bad now she is wearing her stockings but the cramp is back and that's why she is down at moment.

Like you all I can't understand why Joyce won't tell the doctor about her legs. The trouble is, if Joyce is only giving him half the ' story ', the doctor can't make a proper diagnosis. No offence mean't, Joyce!

Caz, how are you today? Had a chuckle when you said how you and hubby are like a comedy act, when he's trying to help you out of bed in the morning. Yes laughing is a good way to start the day. We have to see the funny side of life, otherwise we would go mad. I hope your arm is feeling a lot easier today.

Hi Caz, had to smile at the picture of you and your beloved carrying on with your stiffness in the mornings lol It's surely worth the stiffness to get some good sleep and as you say, a laugh to start the day is no bad thing.

I don't know what we are going to do with Dutch, and her legs! I missed some calls from her yesterday and will certainly tick her off when I do speak to her, altho I know she has a lot of things on her mind. She really should speak to the docs but a bit late now as she goes back home on Wednesday I think.

Glad you had a smile at our antics in a morning, I got up by myself this morning, but, I paid for it by a sleepless night, pain kept waking me again. I have just come round with a start, fell asleep over computer and it's only 9-30.

Joyce rang again last night to say Rachels young son doesn't have swine flu after all, he has been cleared but his dad has the virus now whatever it is. Nothing to report on Joyce herself, I think she is looking forward to going home to Jan, said she will ring me Thursday, knowing Joyce it will be before though.

Just off to get my hair cut, I feel really queasy so hope I am not coming down with something yukky! I think it is tiredness and stress tho. Don't want to be poorly for my birthday.

Caz, I am sorry you can't get through to me, pms get through if email box full, I just don't get the notification but find them when I check on gr. I did clear some mails last night but loads more today, lots of jokes and other stuff, including notification of other people's replies to my friends profiles on facebook, why would I want to see their replies lol?
I hope you will get a nap this afternoon and feel a bit better love.

Joyce, glad little fella doesn't have swine flu and hope whatever it is leaves the house soon, you don't want to catch anything, but I expect you have stayed away cos of the risks to date. Glad you will see the doc about your legs but not much time now for him to do anything. Hope the journey home is ok and you take it easy when you get back, try to take your time and not rush so you fall again.

Liz, I have had to ask people to stop sending me jokes, although I find them funny and enjoy the laugh they do clog up the e mail box.

Several people send me lots of jokes and cute pictures of animals. I delete most of them as soon as I have seen them. I rarely forward any as the ones from some people have about 30-50 other email addies on them. Why cant people use BCC?

Well, Dutch should be on her way home now, she rang me this morning saying she was on the coach back to Liverpool. She will get home late tonight so obviously won't hear from her but she will most likely be on herself tomorrow. Dutch did manage to see Rachel in the end so she feels better about it.
It will be nice to see you back on boards Joyce.
