Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 1 Jul 2009 04:37

Last evening I phoned YCaz and she told me she hadn't heard from Dutch all day but was having problems with her computer and not able to get into gr at all. Caz asked me to put this up so people will know why she hasn't been around.

I hope today Caz can get online properly again and that she will have had a call from Dutch to say how her scan went yesterday, or that Dutch will come and tell us herself how she is feeling.
Let's hope that all is well with our Dutch and she is just being good and staying away for a rest.
Also hope Caz will be back with us all soon.
love to both of you if you are looking in, even if not able to post.

I also wish Dutch well. Bit worried about her not showing up here. We all know she can't keep off her lovely pouter, even when Jan tells her to lolx.

Caz (hugs for you) I'll try ringing Dutch when I get home from work

Poor Caz, PC troubles are sooo frustrating, hope she can get back on line soon.

I think Joyce had new medication, maybe it has slowed her down a bit, or maybe for once she is doing as advised and staying off here for a while.

i hope she will soon be feeling better and able to come back and join her friends on here. Thinking of you Joyce.

Morning all, I'm back on, couldn't connect to the internet yesterday for some reason. Dutch won't be on for a while as she is not very well and in a lot of pain with her back and legs, she's resting at last. She is ringing me this morning so I will update you on how she is, so for the time being you have to put up with me passing messages on.

Thanks for putting this up Liz.

Hi Mary, Joyce has not rung me yet, she usually rings earlier than this. I have to see my neurologist this afternoon so I hope she rings soon.
I did ask her to rest and not come on puter so it's a one off for her to take notice, bless her. She really does need a rest though as she can't sit at puter with her back.
If you are reading this Joyce I hope you are ok and not suffering so much in the heat.

Hi Jude and Claire, I bet Joyce is still struggling to get her support stockings on, I shouldn't laugh though because it takes me ages. Come to think of it I don't know if I said she had to wear them since going to docs on Monday, they keep my swelling down so hope they work for Joyce.
It's just started to pour with rain and it's thundering here so I am closing down. Hope it stops before I have to go out.

So sorry Carole.... but I did not even miss you. ha ha ha
It was so hot yesterday that I stayed away from the computer.
My 'pooter' is in a little 'cubby', very handy, but VERY , VERY HOT...
The sun shines right into the window, straight into my face and eyes.
It is a bit cooler today and I have a fan directed at me. Feels fine at the minute, but will get hotter again later.

Hope you are well Carole, and Joyce too, AND, thank you Liz for passing on the message.

Hi all, heard from Joyce half hour ago, she said to say she is getting there, still resting and back hurts plus another bruise she can't remember getting. What are we going to do with her? She has had trouble with the stockings as I knew she would, they are a b****r to get on. Also had her first injection, she has to have one a week for ten weeks, then one a month. She has a lovely big bruise on her arm where it went in.
Jan wants to know why she will rest for us but not when he tells her to, lol. She said it's because all her friends got onto her and she knew we were right, good girl Joyce.

Must go, I'll keep updating if any more news.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a little bit better, Joyce. Also, it's nice to hear that you are putting yourself first and are resting. Hope all is well with Rachel and her daughter.

Caz, hope all went well for you at the neurologist, this afternoon.
Take care!
Thank you for the update on Joyce.

Sallie.

I was wondering if it would help to apply talc to the legs or the inside of the stockings to help put them on?

Best wishes to all those who are not well.

Glad you heard from Joyce, Caz and that she is really resting more and staying off the computer. i had a giggle at the thought of her trying to get those stockings on but hope they will help her. Did she say if she had had news of Rachel?

I hope everyone who is unwell at the mo and suffering in the heat, will feel lots better soon, will try and catch up with phone calls next week when o.h. is on late shift, hooray!

I spoke to Dutch last night Liz. She thinks Rach has gone into slow labour. Pains in her back and so on.

YorkshireCaz Report 2 Jul 2009 09:17

Morning all, Sorry I forgot to mention Rachel last night, but, Joyce did ring when my tea had been put on table, and I had nearly finished when she rang off, it slipped my mind.
It was ok at neurologists Sallie, he said he wondered if another MRI scan would show anything more up, I pursuaded him it wouldn't. We agreed to leave it and see if anything happens, I have had all the tests he can think of but he can't say why I am disabled, apart from the nerve damage in my spine. There are other things though like left hand won't grip and I drop things, he said that part of my spine is above the nerve damage site so something is going on, just doesn't know what.

That's a good idea Huia, I will try that myself and pass it on to Joyce.
We are both suffering in this heat, I felt dizzy and sickly yesterday and have to go to opticians at lunch time, the hottest part of day. Hope Joyce manages better today with it. I hope everyone else is coping with it too, I hate it, can't cope with heat.

Morning all,

Sending positive thoughts and prayers for Joyce and Caz.

Hope that the two of you are feeling much better soon, not that this heat helps at all.

I am not suffering from the heat at present. I prefer cold to heat, at least you can put lots of clothes on and jump around (if you are not an idle so and so like me) to keep warm, but hot humid weather.........
Tonight it has started raining again after a long spell off clear frosty nights. There are gusty winds too. And the weather forecast mentioned the possibility of strong tornados up north and mild ones in the Auckland area. Also lightning. Must remember to unplug the computer just in case. Off to bed soon, my OH went an hour ago at 7.45 pm.

Just heard from Joyce, she sounds perkier than she did. At the moment in our room it is 32C, too hot to move. Went to opticians this dinner time and was glad to get home, the heat outside is terrible.

Pleased to hear that Joyce sounds as though she's a bit better.
Do you know if she's had any news on Rachel? Hope all goes well for her!

Caz, how did you get on at the opticians? I know how you felt when you said you were glad to get home, out of the heat, I'm like you, I can't stand this hot weather either. The trouble is, the people that love this weather, think that the ones that don't , are just being miserable. But that isn't it, at all.

I hope you'll all feel better soon!

Speak soon,

Sallie.
