Dutch, that sure sounds like a threat towards Jean :o(((

In reply to the question why does Jean think you thrive on misery, its because its all you ever post.

If you dont post something negative about yourself, its about someone else's misery. and recently you started posting about depressing news stories to add to the collection.

Very rarely do you post anything other than misery. In fact, recently not content with your misery on this board, you brought depressing & miserable threads to the chat board. - I then turned off.

Its one thing to keep people updated with ones condition, or to receive some support on the board, but the number of misery threads you post about you, others and total strangers would make a chief mourner proud.

Mildred, looks as if you are having a pop at me now, I don't often add to your threads but have usually supported you or sent you good wishes if you are unwell, as I have to Jean.
I really don't understand why you are bothering with this thread or don't you have anyone else to have a go at for now?

The amount of strife on the boards over the years has been stirred up by certain people most of the time and I won't name names but I steer clear of them, the little clique who think they own the boards!!!!

I know you are suffering from poor health at the mo, as is Jean so can only hope this attitude of yours makes you feel lots better cos right now, I can't feel any sympathy for you, I just want to tell you to mind your own business and go play with your cronies.

I pay my subs and can post what I chose, as do others.

Liz

I spoke with Joyce earlier and she is fed up with people having a go on here, this thread has been fine till Jean had a stir. Not sure why Jean or you decided to come on this thread but wish you hadn't bothered. All you have done is upset people especially our Caz who has never done you any harm, or Joyce to that matter.

SueMaid Report 15 Jul 2009 01:24

Jean has made it clear as did I that we were not having a pop at Caz. Jean and Elaine are the warmest kindest people you could ever hope to meet and both wear their ill-health with dignity as does Caz. You say you pay your subs and therefore can post what you choose as can others. However that curtesy has not been extended to Jean or Elaine and on top of that is the implicit threat to Jean - basically watch out for the grand-daughter.

Both Jean and Elaine have been constantly supported by their friends whenever they've needed it and we wouldn't dream of laying extra worry on their shoulders by constantly telling them all our woes. Although when one of us has been upset they are equally supportive of us.

You have told Dutch on many an occasion to seek help and to take care of herself. Does she listen?....NO. You all get annoyed with her and her lack of care for her own well-being.

By the number of PM's received it is obvious that other people feel the same way. I would never wish ill on anyone but what's the saying "God helps those who help themselves"?

Sue

This started out as a friendly thread between myself, Caz and Dutch and those who know them and appreciate news of them when they can't get on line for whatever reason. The people who post on here know the two ladies in question and know what Dutch is like and her problems, as well as knowing Caz's health problems.
I really cannot see why those who don't normally have much to do with these people want to interfere, whether there are jokey tellings off for Dutch or commiserations for Caz, why are these other people coming here and moaning about the content of the thread or other threads I put up? I see lots of threads, some I read and respond to, others I read and then ignore any further, some I don't bother to read.
I fail to see why suddenly it is of such interest to everyone to come and have a go at anyone supporting Dutch. As Caz said yesterday at 18.24 - Joyce rang her for company as she was at the hospital and bored and scared. The thread is for her friends and Caz lets them know how she is doing, as do I if I hear from her or make contact with her, or Caz..

If this is a devious way to get the thread whooshed because someone has no other ones to sabotage, then I feel sorry for the people doing it. We have seen other lovely threads disappear for no apparent reason, and I am sick of it. Maybe I should go on some threads and cause unpleasantness and stir up trouble.

I always had respect for Jean and have tried to help her in the past, and have sent a message of support for Mildred when she was feeling low, I have tried never to get spiteful or nasty but am really disappointed in the people who are trying to spoil this thread, which is merely a means of communication between Caz, Dutch and friends.

Yes God helps those who helps themselves, but God help anyone who doesn't bow down to certain people on here!
I really can't be bothered to post anymore, as it obviously goes in one ear and out the other with some folk and I am sure some self righteous person will get this whooshed by the time I get back on here later on.

What has my post got to do with you ?? ~ absolutely nothing, ....so please dont insinuate that it is. I was actually responding to Dutch.

I have never had a problem with you & I find your post aimed at me and my "cronies" rather upsetting when all I did was refer to Dutch's post aimed at Jean, and to answer the question she posed towards Jean as I felt it was revelent to the way I was seeing things on the boards.

If you knew half of what Jean is going through, you would understand why she posted what she did on here and at this moment both you & dutch would be pulling your size 11's out of your mouths at supersonic speed.

For the record, I had the worst few months health wise this year, and yes I do feel heaps better thank you very much.

I have no issue with Y Caz and wish her well, I am not referring to her as I'm sure Jean is not either. Ive no problem with Dutch either as a person and feel a certain amount of sympathy towards her feeling ill.

However I do stand by my thoughts in my earlier post that Dutch thrives on misery. I know we all need a little moan sometimes but not a drawn out whine, which extends to whining on other peoples behalf's, scouring the news headlines for the most morbid stories to report on. & extending that misery to other boards without thought to those who actually escape Gen Topics board to avoid the haven of sadness and misery its become of late.

Have a good day.

I am not going to get drawn into any argument here. I just want to say that I think the reason a group of us have been supporting Joyce - besides the fact that she does so much by way of collecting for little presents for people who are poorly, - is because normally when she has health problems she is in Holland. She comes on here with her health problems because she does not speak Dutch and it is scary for her going to her doctor because he doesn't speak English. It is a way for her to overcome any worries she has.

We should all learn to be tolerant at times I guess.

Elaine, I am pleased that you are feeling better, you can now look forward to your holiday.

As you know I have a support thread up on this board and the following is a reply I have just posted on it:

Thank you again for all your good wishes, although having read a certain thread on chat I am wondering if I should have been allowed to post this. seemingly people are able to feel comfortable with mocking those who ask for support. they may be lucky and live within a close community of family and friends who give them plenty of actual support, some of us are no so lucky and I take exception to the mockery However, I will not lower myself to go on the thread and say so, nor will I ask for its deletion. It just shows me who will or will not give support to those worse off than themselves.

I have to say I agree with Ann, we are aware just how much Dutch has done for other folk who were in need of a hug and an ear to listen, I have come to know Joyce and I find her a very caring lady who has time for everyone, it doesnt cost us much to give love and support to our cyber friends, many who are lonely folk,It saddens me when suddenly the whole aspect of this thread takes a rather nasty turn, I for one will not continue to rise to any baiting, been there done that , not nice....so Dear Joyce as usual love and prayers to you and your family, hope the news we will get will be good for you...Caz and liz, many thanks for keeping us informed, hope you are feeling better.Caz...
