Marilyn
Hi and good afternoon/ morning I guess for you.

No my hair became much drier when I was first diagnosed, i was the typical greasy haired teenager and it never needed conditioning. Then I found it really became dry. took the thyroxine as prescribed for years. hair fine, just needed to use shampoo for dry hair and conditioner. Then about 2 years ago I started to loose my body hair, on my arms, under arms and legs too. All great, time and expense saving.
But last year when I was under the hospital for weight probs, they said i was taking too much thyroxine and at the risk of brittle bones. So decreased my dose.
Then I was really unwell with a virus and had bloods checked over a few months and the Dr said the dose was far too low and up it to 175mcgm a day. The highest I've ever taken. That was when I noticed(or should I say my hubby ) that my hair was coming out, mainly in the shower, not on my brush or pillow. But it doesn't seem to be being replaced. As I said it was too thick before. Others don't notice thankfully.

I have checked and my Dr has a walk in blood test on Thursdays so will try and get there this week after the dentists if he doesn't kill me.

Off for a walk, before little one goes home

Be back later

GRMarilyn Report 14 Jul 2009 16:52

Sue ,
How high is your sunflower ?
Are you feeding it ?

Mine might show up somewhere when I get home ,it can only be in three places, so it might be really tall, as Devon has had lots a rain.

We do have lots of slugs, so they could have been eaten by now, probably thats whats nibbled your Sunflower Sue....

Sue
Just been out to the sunflowers................ I have 2 that are 25", one at 24" and a smaller one at 15"
They are all growing in other pots, they were under the bird table earlier in the summer.
Think I will have to put canes in to support them soon, don't think I should move them now.

Bit overcast here now.

Must put away all the toys and make it an adult home now for the next 7 days, until the little fella comes again for one day then he'll be off for nearly 3 weeks.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, the little baby girls Mum is coming to see me again tomorrow, just to clarify a few things.

Enjoy your evening

Sue, Linda's sunflowers are beating yours, you'll have to feed them.............LOL

Marilyn, I don't need to shave my legs or under my arms now, but the hair on my head is OK, no problem at all.

I'll have to stop typing now because I've got my fingers crossed for Linda.............LOL

Hope Shelly's OK, I keep thinking about it.

It's dark out there now Sue !!!

I'll be up til midnight so You'll have to be like a naughty robber and come through the night.

Don't worry as I didn't plant them I don't think they'll have enough room and they were only food for the birds and small seeds so guessing they won't get very big.

If you check in Shelly hope things are a bit calmer at home. Thinking of you all at this time.

Marilyn are you still sitting in the sun ?

Lady has got lost, haven't seen her for a while.

And Pauline must have spent too much shopping so her husband has banned her from using the puter

I'll check back after I've filed all the census I found

ME I am back from Torquay I had a lovely time weather perfect we had one half day when it rained but I go out and about went to Brixham, Paington, Totnes. Darmouth. Kingswear Babbacome etc I am tired now with all the walking and most was up hill. we went to Cockington a little place with thatched cottages and a big manor house and grounds. It was then I realised it was part of my four times Great Grandmothers estate when we went into the church there were their names all on the walls in copper plate Mallock family stained glass window donated by then the wooden porches and other things. I brought two little books about the church and they are full of the Mallock family even to a photo of the church foundation being built with Mary Mallock doing the opening. so I am so pleased I took a lot of photos so hope they come out.we had a ride on the horse and carriage and the guy there was pleased when we told him Susannah Mallock was out fourth great Grandmother. I am going to send them some of my information as they have started to collect for a museum of the house.

hope everyone is keeping well.

Hi Rita
Glad you had such a lovely time and to get so many memories to store up too.
I went to Cockington about 8 years ago with my Canadian cousin and her 3 daughters and we all loved it. They too went on the carriage ride.

Not too bad here, just a bit soggy round the edges as they say.

Waitng for the new Mum to come with the baby to finalise a few details

Linda, does that mean you got the baby? If you did - well done, glad it worked out for you. I kept my fingers crossed. I've just uncrossed them so I could type.

Rita, looks like you had a great time and found out loads of family things. Sue's right, you'll have to change your name now and put posh in front of it......LOL

Sue, you must have had a busy day..........like me!!

Where's Marilyn got to?

I think all the talk of thyroids must have put Lady off, she's gone on the missing list.

Shelly, hope it's not too bad for you.
