I too belong to that club must be a founder member as I have been on thyroxine for about 20 years now. I do have big problems with my weight, and I mean BIG. Due for another test when they will check how my levels are before I get my next repeat prescription.

Have just cooked a nice spicy meal from the last WW magazine. Really trying as I only have 10 months til my daughters wedding and I don't want to be the one wearing the marquee(oops sorry tent !!! )

How are the tallons Marilyn? You must not do anything til you get home now.

Oh I forgot whilst in the village for the bottle bank I got some wool to make cardigans for a baby of one of my old childminding Mum's. Maybe I shan't put anything into my mouth while I am busy.

It's not actually the best club to belong to.
Yes you do get free prescriptions, and have regular appointments with your Dr !!! ?
But I am lethargic, used to always feel cold, the weight issues, loss of hair( eveywhere, not funny ), dry skin that's just a few of our issues. Oh I forgot as Pauline said poor memory.

Wish it had never happened , but can't change how your body reacted to a virus so many years ago.

I'll stand near to the door but won't pull you in as you'd really rather be outside.

Lady sounds too trim to be in this club and Sue has far too much energy.

doc checked me for lumps whilst i having ribs sorted coz
she prodded all round & said may aswell do full examination!!
wotever i didnt care at time!

Don't really know about menopause, had hysterectomy about 15 years ago( so no more smears, either ) and was lucky enough not to go through too many"power surges" so far. Though it does contribute to the weight issues.

Mamograms haven't been too bad either, not sure if it's because of being well endowed? guess it must hurt more if you are small.

Will measure the bird planted sunflowers tomorrow

Oh I forgot the hospital lowered my dose of thyroxine as big doses can add to osteoporosis probs. Unfortunately they lowered it too much and my Drs increased to higher than I'd ever been on.

That's the hair style I give my son Shelly. Hubby won't have that style though, I have to do his properly - with scissors and comb.

Linda, I was lucky with my weight, I was only 7st 12, before I had trouble with my thyroid. I put a stone on, so I'm only 8st 12, now. I don't like being this weight but the doctor says it's a healthy weight for my height (5" 2"), he says I was underweight before. If I'd waited any longer to take thyroxine I'd probably have put more weight on.

I'd forgot about the hair loss thing. I'm quite pleased about that though because I don't have to shave my legs or under my arms now...............LOL. I've always had a thick mop of hair on my head so I suppose I'm lucky with that as well. It's the memory thing that gets me!, and not being able to sleep well!

Pauline yes certain hair loss is great, BUT not from my head.................... I always had too much hair, having thinning scissors used when my hair was cut. Not now have to comb it a certain way to try to hide how thin it is. My lovely hubby says he'll buy me a wig but doesn't realise how this hurts.

Linda it seems you've got a really bad problem with your thyroid, it's about time the doctor got your medication sorted. I must admit I'd panic if I had any thin areas on my head. I can understand how worried you must be about losing any more.

Do you think Marilyn got lost on her way back from the beauticians?

So upset about Shelly's bad news.....how sad is that !
I was thinking about it last night in bed and could not get to sleep.

Anyway I hope Shelly's OK I know she was upset last night.

On a lighter note Linda, my tallons are lovely,although I'd never heard that saying before !!! It took me a while to work that one out ...Its not a DEVON thing .LOL

Funny thing happened yesterday I was admiring my toes nails when walking and fell over flat on my face..........My glasses went flying and I managed to save my fall but had gravel stuck to my hands......hubby went ahead of me ,so I gave him a blast in the ear as he was not around to
save me ..LOL
That'll teach me to be vain !!!
