I wish you joy with your new pet
And LWH have you got their tea yet?

Angie I would love to keep comin back

other than that I am thick !!!

Hello Angie and young Mel
You seem to be getting on very well
And Mel your rhymes are fine
You know how to really rhyme
So come and join our merry throng
And put your thoughts into a song

Foggy Report 31 Oct 2008 16:25

I love these rhymes they make me laugh
Are they fun, you bet, not arf
but poor young Mel she hasn't a clue
and doesn't quite know what to do
about the rhymes from all on here

don't worry Mel, there full of cheer
LWH, Granny and me
put up a rhyme for all to see
Magnolia, Broggy, Julia and Taff,
also posted just for a laff,
CarolB she left one too
as well as AngieM and Barbra2

A long one was left that was quite fun
posted by Uzzie in the sun
So come on all, and don't be shy
at least you all could try
to post an ode or even a rhyme
I'm sure you all can spare the time

It can be about whatever you like
you can even write about a bike
but mainly its about cats and dogs
camels, sheep and even frogs
So come on Mel, just have a go
you will be great, you never know
I'm ending now, no more to say
perhaps a rhyme another day

Oh Maggie he will be okay
They're really tough you know these strays
He'll have a little hide somewhere
But it is cold in the night air
I think he'll survive if you
Give him a decent meal or two

I hope someone may very soon
Find in their heart some room
To take in this little cat
Feed him till he grows big and fat.
Let him lay upon their knee
If I were there, it would be me

Oh Maggie how sad
That sparrow hawk is bad
But at least it's done for food
Just don't like it, its not good
But never mind, life moves on
Here today, tomorrow gone.x

There is a woman a few doors up
who has gone and got herself a pup

It barks all day, OH what a noise
perhaps it needs a couple of toys

to keep it occupied throughout the day
something that's fun so it could play

It must get lonely stuck at home
with no one there and all on it's own

she's at work and her kids at school
Its obvious the woman's a fool

to leave the pup on its own all day
I think its cruel that's what I say

Its chewed her couch that's made of leather
her chair, her shoes, and she doesn't know whether

to keep it now,or give it away
to someone who will look after it during the day

the woman's mad, a dog's a thing
in the house fun,could bring

if she had just thought
before she went and bought

a pet need care
when there's nobody there

Foggy Report 3 Nov 2008 21:26

Magnolia, hi and how are you
a dog for me, that wouldn't do

I don't like mice, hamsters or rats
and more than that I don't like cats

a pet for me would never do
I'd rather see them in a zoo

a pet for some I know is right
but for me would be a fright

I'm used to being alone at home
a pet I know would be a drone

at least for me that is I say
I wouldn't want one...no way.!

I will leave the pets for the people on here
I know they will bring them lots of cheer

Hello everyone, I've been away
My poor cat's been all alone
And do you know the cat down the road
Decided to visit her in our home

Now this puss is a bit strange
Greybeard is his name
He looks a little shifty
Not a bonny cat, such a shame

They don't exactly claw & fight
They don't caterwail and shout
They really just sit and stare
And freak each other out

I know he's been in
His pawmarks were on the chair
Also just by the door
There was a little bit of grey hair

But not a sign of fur flying
Not a scratch on our mog
But I'm not surprised really
He's quite small and her...........
She's built like a dog

LadyBarbara Report 17 Nov 2008 14:56

I have been told
From someone in the know
That a certain person
Who I am not allowed to mention
Has spotted my little ode

I really am so very proud
He has been looking in
And my cat who knows no better
Her tail is all of a swing

Now I know he'll have to mention
This pretty little ode
So here's to you dear ???
Now you can have a goad

Maria

Maria Report 17 Nov 2008 19:06

Oscar is my little pet
he hasn't brought a mouse in yet
but once he caught a moth in flight
and chased it round, to his delight

He's still a kitten, not yet 1
he's very cute and lots of fun
he plays in the garden, goes down the slide
and behind the bench he likes to hide

If Auntie Barbara came for tea
she'd say "what a lovely puss is he!"
he'd sit upon her lap and purr
and let her stroke his ginger fur

Helloooooo Barbara, howzat?

LadyBarbara

LadyBarbara Report 17 Nov 2008 20:49

Maria you have got the gift
And Maggie so have you
To rhyme about your little cats
And lift the doom and gloom

Oscar sounds so very dear
He really does sound fun
He can chase the butterflies
That flutter in the sun

And Maggie your dear little puss
He doesn't need to make a fuss
As long as he has you to share
Your home, and just to know you care

Jenxx Report 17 Nov 2008 22:10

My pet he is a warthog
a lovely little thing
I saved him from a sniper
at the beginning of last spring
So now he's free to live his life
as God intended

sorry ran out of rhyme lol
Jenxx

LadyBarbara

LadyBarbara Report 18 Nov 2008 10:58

Oh Jen, I'd love a warthog
Though they're ugly little things
But all our creatures are wonderful
Except snakes, don't you think
They really are so ugly
They remind me of someone I know
I can't think of his name at the moment
It'll come to me,.... I know

Taff

Taff Report 18 Nov 2008 11:43

I helped a lady fox this year
that really was quite ill
glad to say,she had no fear
As harmings not my will

She now plays with her little cubs
and visits me quite often
as she knows, her I will love
cos I,me not quite that rotten.
