Need help in finding the 12 children of Harry Stein b 1868 Russia, was in USA from 1905 he died in 1946. Found some from US census & a tree on Ancestry but cannot find rest. First child ethel b 1888. Many thanks

NO - Can't be this Harry

His 1919 Naturalisation documents say this Harry had 6 children and gives place and date of birth. They give date of arrival in USA as 1 April 1906

Is this the same man reapplying in 1925?

If Harry did indeed father 12 children Could some of the 12 have been born in Russia but not survived long enough to emigrate.

The 12 children came from a census record (1920 or 30 cannot remember) states 12 children born 8 living, they may have been born in Russia (if so how can i find them)?

It's the 1910 census which says 12 children born, 8 living.

Usually with overseas research you need to know exactly where they come from as records are often kept locally. Kiev now Kyiv is mentioned, which I am sure you know is the capital of the Ukraine. You have to consider whether this is really the right time to follow this line.
Unless you can find them on Family Search. Babies who died shortly after birth may not have even been registered but are remembered,

I have 6 children that i can prove are Harry's children, have tried Family Search no joy, thanks all for your work

There would have been no legitimate births between 1902/3 and 1905

Do you know when Harry and/or his wife died? The obit might hold useful details

In his OP, Ian said Harry died 1946 - but I can't see any record of that.

Four trees on Ancestry claim date of death was 25 March 1946 - but no place or proof.

None of them has a date of death for his wife.

Harry did die in 1946 in the Bronx NY (from SSN), can find no death for his wife, have tried all her used names, i would say she died in 1950s, no records in Bronx or any New York cemetery

Did the children you know about all remain in New York? Widowed mothers often go to live with one of their children, which can sometimes take them away from their home area.
