	Have you found her on any census You need Scotlands People website that isn't a subs site I,m afraid Scottish bmds didn't start till 1855 so the birth wouldn't have been registered

Scotland's People are not showing an 1826-30 birth of that name in Fraserburgh in their OPR records there is this marriage in Glasgow, but no births to match - CARMICHAEL ROBERT MARY LIVINGSTONE/FR6748 (FR6748) 10/06/1825 644/1 400 338 Glasgow

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,667 Send Message	Right - Ancestry tree (only one) has her marrying William Monaghan Thornton (1817-1890) in 1844. Nothing for 1851 census, but in Preston, Lancashire in 1861 Parents not named, nor any siblings listed Find My Past does not have an Isabella in 1861 in Preston *** EDIT - yes, transcribed as Shorton They do have an Isabella Thornton in Preston in 1851 but husband is Peter and she was born London. 2 children, youngest possibly with mmn Capps The tree goes on to have her remarrying in 1868 in Fraserburgh (William Thornton still alive) to a William Stephen and back in Preston by 1881 !!!!!!!!!!!

Isabella Carmichael, spinster of full age, Water St, Preston daughter of Robert Carmichael, tailor. R Anderson and Bridget Laughlin were witnesses and they were all Roman Catholics.
