I am trying to find any relatives of my father Albert Booth born 1897 in Manchester. His father was John Booth and his mother was Annie Mellon. He was married before he met my mother Jessica Mottershead. He died in 1956. He had a twin Annie Booth

Yvonne - Albert was born 1897 and married Jessica later than that.

Having said that I can't see an Albert Booth, Jessica marriage whether that was her maiden name or not

Looks like Mottershead was Jessica's maiden surname and that she was born 1921. Not seeing a previous marriage for her. Perhaps Albert wasn't free to marry Jessica.

I think Jacqueline post is not my family as my father was born in Newton, Hyde, Manchester. I think greyghost post about his parents marriage could very well be the right one, I will have to apply for a copy of the certificate. Although the names are correct I have just found out Kirkdale is in Liverpool.
