Find Ancestors

My wife Loraine Beatrice Judd nee Tully was born in India in 1952 and came over to the UK in the early60's after her father died.
His name was Edward Saxton Tully dob 27,1.1924 dod 9.19.1960 and I cannot find anything about him or his family.
Her Great grand father John Anthony Roach dob 1973 dod 1947 was born in London and went out to India but again I can't find out why or how he got out to India.

Any help would be greatfully received.

There does not appear to be an appropriate birth registered for a John Anthony Roach in England or Wales.

Richard is a new poster and I would think that he probably believes that he has marked Prickles' question as being answered.

Those of us who have been using these boards for a long time realise the stupidity of the 'tick as answered' option which is STILL being offered by GR.

Richard, I haven't been able to find anything so far I am afraid but what puzzles me is that you have her father as 'Edward Saxton Tully' and then her Great grand father as 'John Anthony Roach'.

How have you got back to Mr. Roach when you haven't got any details of the generation inbetween, or, is Mr. Roach her Great Grandfather on her mother's side, if so, can you give us the details of her mother and family please?

Do you have any certs which might give details of any professions, addresses, or witnesses to marriages etc?

Please tell us ALL you know and we might have a better chance of finding something for you.

now for the answers to all your questions:- Edward Saxton Tully was her father he worked on the Indian railway as an engine drive out of Kazipet Junction. Her mothers maiden name was Lever (ursula Millencent) dob 2/11/1934 dod 28/12/2010. Her grandmother's maiden name was Roach(Geraldine Adelina) dob 11/3/07 dod 2000. So that makes John Anthony Roach was her great grand father.
Thanks to the DetEcTive for the info i have been on that sight and found out a lot more but still nothing on Edward nor when John A got married.
I originally thought that J.A. Roach came from London but I have managed to rule that one out.

Thanks roorgatherer that was Loraine's grandmother who I had met. She had six children and I have not as yet worked out how many grand and great grand children. She died in 2000.
