Find Ancestors

Would someone kindly look in the censuses for the blacksmiths shop, Sandford, Shropshire (near Wem , Prees, and Whitchurch).
In 1841 I have William and Mary, their children were Elizabeth c1838, John 1839, William 1840. Anne was born c1844, and Fanny 1847.
In 1881 I have John and his wife Jane (Keen, b Sibford Gower) and their children Mary c1874, John c 1876, Alice c 1877, George c1879 and Eva Jane 1880.

Can't find anything for Sandford as a place in its own right on the 1911 site - but could this be John (remarried)?

This is a truly awful piece of transciption, by the way! The school teacher is actually Sarah's daughter Annie Booth (30). The couple have no children themselves and have been married 25 years.

Mel, William says he was born in Madeley, quite a way from Prees, though I suppose if he wasn't baptised 'til age 1, they might have moved.

I don't know the area at all. There are quite a few William Rogers born 1810/11 in Shropshire on IGI.

Madeley is south of Telford, near Ironbridge.

Not sure if this helps but in my tree I have a William Rogers married a Mary Kynaston and they had several children I have a John 1830 Jane 1836 Mary Sarah 1826 and William 1827. According to my 2nd cousins in Wem they had a lot to do with Blacksmiths I think I was told the kynaston's had a Foundry.
