Hi Cherilyn,
Could you see what infor you can find on descendents of Alexander Murray Boyd. Born in Liberton, Edinburgh 1892. Emigrated to Australia 1912?. Enlisted in AIF in 1915 in Kalgoorlie. He married Daisy Dent Greene in 1918. Died around 1940 in Sydney, where is wife was listed as Eileen. I know there was one son, also Alexander Murray Boyd who died in 1979 in Sydney. But I think there may have been children from his marriage to Daisy. He was in Perth until around 1925/26 when he moved to Sydney.
Would love to know if there are any descendents still alive. Any info would be much appreciated. Penny

HI Cane Do you have any more information about Richard? Was he still in the UK in 1891/1901/1911 censuses? Do you know his parents names? Or where in Australia he settled? Did he marry in the UK? Without more info it may be difficult to find him.

Hi Sylvia
His death reg
Surname: MURRAY Given Names: Andrew Gibb Event: D Father: Alexander Mother: Ann UNKNOWN Age: 26 Birth Place: LINL Year: 1858 Reg Number: 4819
I have ruled out a possible marriage in 1851 (as Andrew Murray not Andrew Gibb Murray) as they still had children into the 1860s; also his middle name of Gibb not on any of the chn's births. They lived in Colac.
Was his brother Alexander Allen MURRAY (not Alexander Murray ALLEN)? Can't see him as either. Also can't see Andrew's arrival. Lots of Alexanders.

Hi Cherilyn
Alexander Murray Allen was the nephew of Andrew Gibb Murray apparently they traveled over to Australia in 1855 and their was a John Baird Murray on the same ship Red Jacket arriving in Melbourn March 1855.
In the 1841 census he was down as Alexander A Murray but his birth was Alexander Murry Allen

Hello Cherilyn,
James William Wisdom MARSH b.1833 (parents Jesse and Annabella Marsh) married my great grandmother, Rosina Whiteman, widow 1859 in Camden, NSW. They had two children.
In 1869 Rosina, widow, married William McGregor, in Sydney.
I cannot find a death for James William Wisdom MARSH despite much searching. He may have been a shopkeeper in Camden, but I am not sure of that.
I would be very grateful if you could please have a look for me and see if you can find his death.
Warmest thanks for your help.

Thank you for looking for me, Cherilyn. He is somewhere but where?
I have found that he was born in Kent and emigrated on the Beejapore.
His grandmother's maiden name was Wisdom! So ,added a little more to his story.
Thank you again.

Hi Julia
Their migration record:
CARDOZO Cyril Lewis born 10 November 1924; Lilian May (nee White) born 6 May 1929; travelled per aircraft departing UK on 30 August 1965 under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme
But I can't see any children or deaths in Australia. Nothing on Ryerson.
Sorry Cherilyn

I was wondering if you could be of some assistance?
I am looking for a William John Jennings born June 1, 1882 ( STAFFORD, Staffordshire, England) parents Theophilus Jennings and Sarah Ann (nee Moore).
My mother remembers her parents getting letters from New South Wales from William. She remembers that her had at least 2 daughters. (but she could not remember any names) She said that they were about her age. (mom was born in 1919 and her sister in 1920).
In the American civil war pension application of Theophilus Jennings there are several letters dated between the years of 1909 and 1919. In these letters Theophilus refers to having a son in Tasmania and later in New South Wales.
There are no other references to any other of his family members going to Australia. I would suspect that William probably went to Australia between 1900 and 1909 via Tasmania and then New South Wales.
I realize that this is not much to go on. I any help or hints would be much appreciated.
