Hello

My ancestor James Steel was born in 1884 in Brampton to Ephraim Harris Steel and Elizabeth Carruthers.

According to free bmd, he married Jessie Graham in Brampton in 1912.

However I cannot find any children, any help in finding any will be greatly appreciated

Maybe Jessie had been married before so mmn will be different on the birth records

How is he an ancestor to you ?

Working back to them will show their children

If there are no children on freebmd, they didn't have any in England or Wales.

Look for James and Jessie's deaths and find out who registered them, by obtaining a copy of the cert(s)

I obtained the death certificate of Jessie Steel. The informer on the death certificate is not a family member. They had no children
