I done some shopping earlier and saw some of those fat balls. £7.50 a tub! That's more than I spent on food for myself! |

I won't tell you how much I have spent in the last 2 weeks on bird food :-S :-S.It's ridiculous :-0 :-0.Haven't told OH how much I spend on my little feathered friends :-D.He would think I am MAD. |

I only feed the birds when it's snowing or the canal's frozen over. A few years ago quite a few of the swans died during the winter due to the cold weather. |

Graham ,I was watching a programme the other night about how many Barn Owls died too a couple of years ago because of the harsh winter .They starved :-( :-( |

Too wet for any birds here today but I had a laugh yesterday watching a robin and a blackbird having a competition to see who could throw the most leaves round the garden. |

Me too Vera. We have had blue and great tits and a female blackbird in today as well as the 2 usual collard doves. Not eating much though but I am sure theya re still getting bugs to eat off the plants as I have watched hem foraging. Yesterday the doves were funny, sitting there in the pouring rain cleaning themselves as if they were having a shower. |
