Sorry ladies. I had trouble putting the second lot on, then it added them twice, then I deleted one lot and it was fine. I have not been on pc all evening until now and it has disappeared except for the narrative. Very annoying. I will try again tomorrow. So time consuming.

Ann
Yesterday we were heading towards Gloucester when we saw some magnificent fields of red poppies.
They were stunning and despite being in a bit of a hurry (visiting friends)
OH stopped to take photos.
Incidently I keep meaning to say that the Society of Genealogists are running some scrap booking courses.
Take care

I have slightly changed the title of this thread and changed the first post. that way I hope it avoids the accusation of the thread being cliquey.

I've never posted on here before. I am so impressed by all your skills that I can't venture to show mine.

I have co-ordination problems so can't do decoupage, I can't design cross stitch but do love doing it. There must be about 20 kits in my room as well as loads of designs and books. and the equivalent of 3 sets of DMC threads.
I have done digital photography using Photoshop 7 but have got a bit rusty and need some practice. My dolls house is still not finished and needs some soft furnishings.
At the moment I am doing dressmaking classes and making my first ever trouser suit. My next project will be wigmaking I think, to replace all the hair I am tearing out. :-S
Is there anyone in Boston UK who can come and 'inspire' me?

I have so many things to do that I shall be doing them 'on the other side'.

Welcome Georgina (or is it Carol?) You are certainly a crafter and we'd love to hear a bit more about your projects as you go along. I am so pleased that you felt you could post on here. I am mainly into cardmaking, scrapbooking and photography, but I have never managed to master photoshop. well I don't have it on this pc. Can't afford it. I use picasa and I do also have Corel but not really 'attacked' that one yet. I have done cross stitch in the past but found it too tiring on my eyes. My daughter used to do a lot of it and has some beautiful cross stitch pictures framed. Many years ago I used to make clothes but haven't done that for years. We have a scrap and card blog where you can see the cards and scrap book pages people have done. If you want to look at it PM me for the address.

And again welcome.

Welcome to the thread Carol, from another Carole. I also make cards but don't do scrapbooks as yet, I love making cards and there are some beautiful ones on Anns thread. I don't do cross stitch but have done a picture of Whitby Abbey in the sunset in needlepoint, I have the head of a tiger half done but have lost my co-ordination now and find it so hard to do. All I can do now is cardmaking and really enjoy it.

Thank you for the nice welcome.
It amazes me that I can still do cross stitch and embroidery, as sometimes I have trouble holding the needles. Manipulating the computer mouse is becoming a problem as well, so I was advised to buy a Wacom tablet for photoshop work. Of course,I haven't used it - its still in its box after 3 years. naughty me.
I really admire the craft of "sticking tiny bits of paper together to make beautiful designs". That is way beyond my cordination skills. My sister does it, but is prevented by cataracts at the moment.
OH says I tend to forget all the things I can do, so I'll add that I have a knitmaster machine, , and have done a good bit of knitting over the years. So why don't I get on with something???

That's enough about me. I'll try to get on to the blog and look at your masterpieces.

I think your thread is fascinating with so many clever people. If someone could send me a link your blog I would be grateful.

I also do some cross stitch, mainly fine stitch of animals but did make a waistcoat using silk thread some years ago. I used to paint on silk and made most of my Christmas cards this way for years. Is anyone else interested in this? I used to be a member of the Silk Painters Guild but let it lapse a few years ago.

I am starting part time working and looking to get back to it in the winter months with the garden occupyng most of the summer.
