I made three birthday cards yesterday for my son, his birthday is on Monday. Considering it was the first time I've made cards, I was quite pleased with them, hope R likes them. I've been thinking about buying a Cuttlebug or a Big Shot machine, for months, but can't make up mind which one to have. Although, the odds are more in favour of the Cuttlebug, as it looks a lot more compact than the Big Shot. Never know, I might make my mind up one day! |

Well, as Sarah said..... Wow. Yes it was lovely weather at Malvern too Daff albeit with a cold wind. However the craft show was indoors. It was heaving, but according to one stall holder not as heaving as it was on Friday. We were lucky, we were there by 10.30 so managed to get a coffee before the crowds arrived, it would have been useless later. Goodness knows how much I spent on must haves, way over £50 I am sure, luckily I took cash as some stalls didn't take the card. I am glad that you mentioned the frames like nestabilities Sarah, I finally tracked them down but doubt I would have seen them without your hint! I bought two in the end the shaped/curved one and a square one. It was a really good show though and one stallholder said he was pleased with the response, apparently they have moved from Cheltenham and he was dubious whether they would get enough people but he said there were a lot more. There was certainly a lot of money changing hands. |

Sallie, you are sooo right, all spent up. Then we came home to the gas/electric bill and they have put our monthly payment (combined) up by £40. |

So my go on friday to avoid the weekend crowds plan might have backfired then LOL Glad you had a good time Ann and that you found the dies, I quite like the shaped/curved one so it will probably be on the list for another time. |

Christina judging by today that £80 will soon disappear. I bought one of the Tim Holtz distress inks just to see how I get on with it. I think it was £4.99, but some of the stickles were a lot cheaper than Hobbycraft. |

Sarah, was just saying to OH, there were a couple or three stalls there today that for the life of me I could not see how they related to a craft show. A bed stall, a steam iron and a carpet steamer!!!! The latter seemed to attract the men and give them something to focus on. Although mine was off scouting to see what stalls I should be spending my money on. He was fascinated by the handbag stall!! |

Ann those are what I call the filler stalls they are the kind of thing that no matter what the show they are there. I was pleased because there were so few we had many more at the show in Telford last year. Although the Telford show did have a stall that was really made for the men because it was all tools and not just craft type tools either |

Actually Sarah I wish they had had a stall with tools on because a lot of the men were like spare parts and really got in the way Lol!!! And why people want to bring small children to these shows beats me, I realise that some have nowhere to leave them but there were loads there with buggies, they couldn't get close to the stalls and the buggies were dangerous, the aisles being quite narrow. One woman had three children, including one in a buggie and gran with her. |

Learnt something that might be of interest to some of you today. The first Scrapbook Inspirations Idea Book is due out on the 31st March. Although at the price (£9.99) I think I'll have a look before I buy. |

I can't get over how much Scrapbook Inspirations Idea Book is. Sarah, I think I'll do the same as you, and look before I buy. I wonder if it will be quite a thick book with lots of ideas in it for that price. We'll all find out very soon. |

I was actually shocked when I was looking at magazines today and realised that papercraft inspirations is now £4.99. It's not a magazine i buy regularly but if we are going away i tend to get up a few different ones in case the weather is poor, that one will not be on the list any more. |
