Evening all...... Ann, you are so right..... no nipping in quickly.... just spent another small fortune in Hobbycraft.... on things I just had to have but not a clue how to use them... ink pens, and stamps... very nice they are, too... but I like 3D type stuff, so will have to learn how to do that with them.... I wanted a template for those bracket embellishments... you see them all the time in the magazines.. I have tried to draw them free hand, but I am useless.... couldn't even draw an arrow for the Valentine card so left it out! |

Daff, if you want a 3D affect using a stamped image, stamp it more than once. When you cut the image out cut one slightly larger than the other, then assuming you have say three images, Use the largest one as the base, then using sticky pads stick a slightly smaller one on top, then cut out parts of the third image and stick them on top again. It will give a 3D affect. But maybe that was not what you wanted to know? |

A good source for fabric flowers is dunelm mills. In amongst the silk flowers they sell geberas for about 40p each that can be broken down into lots of different size pieces and they also do other smaller flowers that come as a bunch on one stem (if you get what I mean) they are under £1 a stem and again you get lots. |

Linda, I stripped some silk roses I had in a vase in our bedroom for the page I did of my granddaughter in her Christmas party dress... I added glitter (well, I would, wouldn't I? lolol) and used the same glitter to paint some plain brads... and they were perfect! Amazing what you can adapt when you put your mind to it, isn't it? |

Right Sarah, your fault. Went to Dunelm today and bought three gerberas. Not broken them down yet because they look nice in with my other artificial flowers in the lounge (mostly big poppies). Thought they would be safer there anyway, wont get crushed. Also bought a pack of flowers in browns, oranges and shades of pink, and some clear stamps, fairies and dragons!, sparkly button type things,, black and gold sticky ribbons, reel of gold ribbon, and... and.. and... |
